Interestingly, this is Desharnais' second trade in roughly a month, as the Penguins acquired him from the Vancouver Canucks in a deal with Danton Heinen for Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor on Feb. 1.

Desharnais didn't pick up any points in ten games with Pittsburgh and was minus-4 while skating 14:24 a night, slightly down from his playing time in Vancouver, which was 15:58.

In 158 career games, the 28-year-old from Laval, Quebec has one goal and 18 assists for 19 points. The former seventh-round pick (183rd overall) at the 2016 Draft has collected 123 penalty minutes with 253 hits and 238 blocked shots.
