Peta Murgatryod and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are feeling content with their family routine.
While giving insight into life with their three sons Shai, 8, Rio, 23 months, and Milan, 11 months, the Dancing With the Stars pros shared whether they’re hoping for a fourth baby. And for Peta, right now, her family complete.
“I think it’s fair to say (I’m done), yeah,” the 38-year-old told US Weekly in an interview published June 8. “I think my body, just doing the back-to-back thing with two babies, it was a lot—not just physically, but mentally.”
“I want to be able to give my all to my children and I feel like right now, I’m struggling to do that with all three,” Peta continued. “I would feel guilty that I’m just not being a good enough mom to them all.”
Although Maks, 45, would love to try for a girl, he understands the complexities of a new addition to their family. “Peta is definitely not going to let it happen out of her body anymore,” he noted. “She’s like, ‘This is not going to come out of this.”

Over the years, Peta has been open about her fertility journey and pregnancy losses, which is why she was surprised when she got pregnant with Milan just four months after welcoming Rio in 2023. And though life with her two youngest had her sitting out DWTS season 33, she now feels ready to step back onto the dance floor.

“Right now, I do feel like I have a bit of a weight lifted off my shoulders,” Peta explained to Us. “So, I feel like I would be ready to go back. I love the show. I love what it’s about.”
And for her, finding that the balance between her family and her job makes her “a better mom.”
“I have had that outlet to be myself, to have time away for a second, then come back and I am fully refreshed,” she emphasized. “I think it helped. It helped me mentally, absolutely.”
While Maks and Peta are now tangoing through parenthood together, they aren’t the only DWTS stars to find love off the dance floor. Keep reading for more…
