PFF: This stat makes Jets QB Aaron Rodgers look a little better

It has not been a good first season as a full-time starter for Aaron Rodgers with the New York Jets in 2024.

A 4-12 record was never the idea for Rodgers and time will tell if he gets another chance to improve on that mark in 2025.

While Rodgers has taken plenty of the blame for New York’s struggles on offense, Pro Football Focus did provide him a bit of potential reason why… and it’s not good for those around him.

Rodgers, 41, has completed 63 percent of his passes so far this season, good for 3,623 yards. He has 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions as well.

But factoring into his completion percentage is a slew of dropped passes. Per PFF, the Jets receiving group has had more drops than any team in the NFL in 2024.

Among the biggest problems has been Allen Lazard. In 11 games played, Lazard has 34 catches, 459 yards and five touchdowns. However, Lazard has a drop rate of 19 percent this year, tied for the highest in the NFL (Dontayvion Wicks).
