Philadelphia Eagles Jihaad Campbell, Nakobe Dean give electric engine command at NASCAR Dover

A pair of Philadelphia Eagles got the race started today at Dover Motor Speedway. Jihaad Campbell and Nakobe Dean were on the command. The two NFL stars were great on the mic as they told the NASCAR drivers to start engines.

Campbell was the first-round pick for the Philadelphia Eagles this season at the NFL Draft. Meanwhile, Dean has been with the organization for a few years now and has a Super Bowl ring. The two linebackers were there in Dover today to get the NASCAR race started.

This is how you start a race! It’s also a great reminder that the NFL season isn’t that far away.

It’s always great to get these stars from outside of the sport to participate in NASCAR weekend. While different sports, football and NASCAR fans have a lot in common, and there is a lot of overlap between the two.

So, the NASCAR Cup Series is ready to get going at Dover Motor Speedway. We’ve got the Philadelphia Eagles in attendance. It’s a hot day in Delaware, and should be a great day for racing.

During the race we will see pit stops matter a lot. First, these drivers have to figure out the track after rain washed it clean.

Philadelphia Eagles ready for Dover NASCAR race

These two Philadelphia Eagles, Nakobe Dean and Jihaad Campbell, are fearsome linebackers on the track. I’m sure today they will be thanking the powers that be that football season is in the fall and winter and not in July.

As for the NASCAR Cup Series, it is all year long more or less. Dale Earnhardt Jr. knows today is going to be a hot one and he does not envy the field for that.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. remembers his days as a driver. The heat is something he does not miss when it comes to being retired.

“This race today at Dover is gonna be a hot one,” Dale Jr. posted on X/Twitter. “Absolutely miserable inside the racecar. I do not miss this part of it. Damn it’s gonna be difficult. Lucky for some of the technology we have today.”

Dale Jr. will be on the TNT Sports broadcast again this week. He is going to bring his insights and analysis to the race for answers to keep up and digest what they are watching on the track. He only has this week and next before his time on TV this season comes to an end.

Dover Motor Speedway is a tough track. Rain last night has completely washed away the rubber that ARCA and Xfinity put down on the track. The early part of this Cup Series race could be problematic as drivers look for grip on the track.
