The Flyers selected Bjarnason with the 51st overall pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. In 46 appearances for the Wheat Kings last season, he posted a 24-17-4 record, a .907 save percentage (SV%), and a 3.01 goals-against average (GAA).

Bjarnason played in the Flyers' pre-season opener against the Washington Capitals on Sunday (Sept. 22). He left a solid impression in the process, saving all nine shots he faced. The future is bright for the 6-foot-3 goalie, and seeing how well he performs for the Wheat Kings this season from here will be intriguing.
