Bozoma Saint John just lost her Malibu home to the Los Angeles fires.
As wildfires continue to erupt in Southern California, with hundreds of thousands of residents evacuated, the 47-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie took to her Instagram page to confirm the “unimaginable loss” of her beloved home as she looked back at the memories she and her daughter made there.
“This is the house I wanted. The house I prayed for. The house I worked in blood, sweat and tears for. The house that I put a key pad instead of a key hole in the front door because I wanted all my family and friends to have a code and use the house whenever they wanted. This is the house where I found peace after battling with racist neighbors and a community that made me have to buy it in a trust within a trust so no one would know that widowed, single Black woman with a teenager was buying on the exclusively-held beach,” Bozoma wrote on January 8.
She continued, “This was my EFF YOU I’m here house. The house that I built a movie room dedicated to my sister so she could see her films in her own sanctuary. This is the house where I finally felt like I could choose to spend time… when I wanted to and how I wanted to.”
“It is gone,” Boz added. “This is an unimaginable loss. I grieve with the rest of Los Angeles as it burns… and even though I’ve found even words to write here, there’s nothing that I could say in this moment to describe this feeling. I ask for your prayer for Lael and I … God bless you.”
After sharing the post, Bozoma was met with love and support from her fans and followers, as well as her Bravo family, including Andy Cohen, 56, and a couple of her RHOBH co-stars.
“I am so sorry. This is unimaginable,” Andy wrote.
And both Garcelle Beauvais, 58, and Sutton Stracke, 53, said they were “so sorry” to see what Bozoma was going through.
“Beyond devastating,” Sutton noted.
“This is heartbreaking,” Venita Aspen, 31, agreed as Guerdy Abraira, 47, posted three crying emojis.
Included in Bozoma’s slideshow were images taken of her living in the house before it burned down.
“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the ocean in a drop,” read a quote from Rumi written on Bozoma’s wall among golden trees, which matched perfectly with her coffee table.
Another picture offered a look at Bozoma’s stunning view of the Pacific Ocean.
Bozoma then shared photos of her daughter and herself in the home.
Also in Bozoma’s post, she included a shocking image of the lot on which her home once stood.
