Andrew Peeke was born on March 17, 1998, in Parkland, Florida, and played with the Selects Academy 16U AAA team of the USPHL during the 2013-14 season and posted one goal and nine assists in 28 games. The next season, Peeke jumped to the Selects Academy 18U AAA team, and the defenseman flourished with eight goals and 12 assists in 28 games. This allowed Peeke to play with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL during the 2015-16 season. The 6-foot-3, 216-pound defenseman registered four goals and 26 assists in 56 games.

The Columbus Blue Jackets selected defenseman Andrew Peeke with the 34th overall pick in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft. Peeke spent three seasons at the University of Notre Dame from 2016-2019, playing 119 games with 12 goals and 40 assists, and was the captain during his junior season. The blue liner signed with the Blue Jackets after that season and split time with the NHL club and the AHL Cleveland Monsters during the 2019-20 season. In 22 games with Columbus, Peeke scored one goal with two assists. With the Monsters, Peeke suited up for 29 games with five goals and 16 assists.

Peeke was traded on March 8, 2024, to the Boston Bruins . The Bruins sent a third-round draft pick and defenseman, Jakub Zboril, to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Peeke played 15 regular season games with Boston with two assists and six playoff games. Peeke has two years left on his contract at $2.75 million per year.
