The New York Islanders Drafted Parker Wotherspoon with the 112th Overall Pick in the Fourth Round of the 2015 NHL Draft

2015 Full Draft List

Wotherspoon was a fourth-round selection by the New York Islanders in the 2015 NHL Draft. Wotherspoon was a dark horse to make the NHL as Dobber Prospects described him as having “some fine tools on offense and defense. He’s a calm player but it will take a while before he is ready for the NHL.” This scout seemed to be prophetic as the left-shot defenseman played 266 American Hockey League games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers/Islanders team until finally breaking into the NHL.
