Kim Richards is reportedly struggling with her sobriety after years of being transparent about her addiction on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
According to TMZ, Kim was involved in a dispute with sister, Kyle Richards, on Wednesday over the former reality star’s alleged relapse into her alcohol addiction.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to People that law enforcement responded to an incident at a home in the Encino, Calif., area.
A source also told the outlet that Kyle, 55, owns a home, which Kim, 60, has allegedly been living in.
The spokesperson told the outlet that officers responded to “keep the peace” after a female reportedly violated a restraining order. After conducting their investigation, law enforcement determined that there was no order on file and no crimes took place.
“Both parties were informed of the eviction process, and officers kept the peace,” added officials, who did not confirm Kim and Kyle’s alleged involvement in the incident.
TMZ also reported that the family has currently cut off all contact with Kim in hopes the shut-out will help her get sober again.
According to the outlet, Kim was staying in a Hilton hotel in the L.A. area earlier this month when an incident occurred, and Kyle was called. The “Halloween” actress allegedly showed up to find Kim under the influence and refusing to leave despite being asked to.
Kim was reportedly placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold and taken to a hospital. After her release, Kyle allegedly allowed Kim to stay in a home she owns until she got back on her feet.
The Post reached out to Kim and Kyle’s reps for comment.
Kim’s sobriety journey became the topic of conversation for many years on “RHOBH” since Kyle famously outed the actress to be an alcoholic in 2010 during Season 1.
A year later, Kim, who left the show in Season 5, entered rehab.
The star got arrested for public intoxication and entered a treatment center again in April 2015. However, she left the Malibu treatment facility for her daughter’s nuptials in May 2015 before checking herself back in two weeks later.
Kim reflected on her struggles with alcohol addiction to People a year later.
She explained that she had her “first real drink” when she was 24 years old, and her addiction started after her split from her second husband, Gregg Davis, in 1991.
A glass of wine at night escalated into much more. “I started noticing I was drinking a lot,” she revealed at the time. “That’s when my issue started.”
In December 2016, Kim gushed over being five years sober.
“Before I started the show, life was really good and then, you know, things happened and it wasn’t,” she told the outlet. “And it wasn’t just my relapse that was hard, but I went through a depression as well after that.”
“I’m just so grateful to be where I am today, and to be this happy and have life this good and have the relationships that I have … I feel so blessed,” admitted Kim. “I feel powerful. I feel so grateful. Honestly. Life is so amazing today. I wake up happy. I go to sleep happy.”
