When Porsha Williams found out that her ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley, was producing music for her castmate, Drew Sidora, she felt like it was a "sneaky move" — but maybe not for the reason that you might expect.
Drew's working relationship with Dennis will be a talking point on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16, which premieres on March 9, and returning cast member Porsha explained why it upset her.
"Working with him wasn't the issue, it was more so about her wanting to film with him behind my back, without me knowing," Porsha, who shares daughter Pilar Jhena McKinley with Dennis, said during an exclusive chat with BravoTV.com in March. "That's just courtesy here at the job."
After all, Porsha doesn't think Drew would be thrilled if she decided to film with her estranged husband, Ralph Pittman.
"Like if I was going to film with Ralph, I'm sure she would want to know," she continued. "So, I just felt like it was something sneaky that was happening that I didn't like."
Viewers will have to tune in to find out how Porsha and Drew handle the sticky situation, but it seems like they've put it behind them.
"Once I got past letting her know how I felt, I mean, it kind of is what it is, and her working with him is their personal business," she concluded.
Why are Drew Sidora and Dennis working together?
In the trailer for RHOA Season 16, Drew explains what she's doing with Dennis. "Dennis is serving as my Executive Producer," she says, referring to the latest in her music career.
In another moment, Porsha and Dennis discuss the nature of his relationship with Drew.
"You think I'm banging Drew?" Dennis asks Porsha.
"Yes or no?" Porsha asks, but viewers don't get to hear what Dennis has to say in response.
Porsha Williams reveals where she stands with ex Dennis McKinley today
After some hiccups in their on-and-off relationship — including the Drew collaboration — Dennis and Porsha are in a great place today.
"Co-parenting is good. Co-parenting is good," Porsha said during her chat with BravoTV.com when asked for the latest on their friendship. "[He] and I do a really good job of just putting Pilar first. So, even though there may be different situations where, you know, attitudes may flare or opinions or whatever, we have gotten to a place where we do a good job [setting it] to the side in order to just be cool with each other for Pilar."
