Now that two episodes of season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have aired, much has been said about it. Many find it a refreshing rebrand for the series, whereas many others hold grudges against Bravo for the erasure of Kenya Moore. However, Married to Medicine star Toya Bush-Harris had a different take and called out the cast, alleging many of them have had plastic surgery. This has led to responses from the cast.
As everyone knows, plastic surgery has been a massive topic in the Housewives world and in the entertainment industry as a whole. Notably, Andy Cohen has been called out several times for seemingly making plastic surgery a discussion point at the reunions. Still, he has defended his line of questioning by saying it’s what the fans want to know.
Recently, Toya sat down for an interview with the Page Six Virtual Reali Tea podcast. Naturally, she was there to discuss Married to Medicine, but the premiere of the Real Housewives of Atlanta also came up. Specifically, she was asked if she had watched the first episode and if she liked it.
She said, “I did. Absolutely. I liked it a lot. It’s a lot of Botox and fillers.”

The interviewer asks which ladies she’s talking about, but she doesn’t give specifics. Toya went on, “Man, I saw Nicki Minaj on there. I saw Lil Kim.” She was asked who was Nicki and who was Kim, to which she said, “You know, those two ponytails and then the other one was like this smile.”
As Toya says this, she uses her hands to force an extreme smile upon her face. Toya goes on, “That was a lot for me. It’s a lot to watch. It made me feel like I was watching this beautiful black soap opera.”
After this, it wasn’t long before Porsha Williams caught wind of the unfortunate remarks. She said in a post, “To be honest, the girls from Real Housewives of Atlanta has always supported the other black shows on the network and for me definitely Married to Medicine and to see her as a black woman talk about the features and pick apart Atlanta is really kind of sad. We may shade one another on our show, but we keep it in-house. We haven’t been out here tearing down someone else’s. Let’s do better. Let’s all win.”
The drama didn’t end there. Toya issued a response, saying, “Girl stop! You called another woman ashy! (Kenya)… Not to mention, you were a tad shady to our franchise under a Phaedra Parks post. You and I both know how these interviews go… I definitely started a balanced view of the good and bad. Don’t jump on the bandwagon.”

Hopefully, this is the end of the Porsha and Toya drama. In the meantime, fans can watch both shows on Bravo on Sunday nights.
