Porsha Williams Faces Backlash From RHOA Fans After Praising Brit Eady as ‘Quintessential Housewife’ Amid Kenya Drama, Plus Porsha Calls Out Drew for Holding Brit Accountable, & Live Viewing Thread

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is back for its 16th season and, as fans know, Porsha Williams is along for the ride. However, her return has been met with a yawn, as many feel she functions more as a friend of than a full-fledged housewife. Now, she’s getting a bit of backlash for her recent comments about newbie Brittany “Brit” Eady in light of her drama with Kenya Moore.

Regarding Porsha, many believed she would enter the season as the glue that kept the ladies together, while also providing the fun “Porsha” moments that she had added to earlier seasons. However, it seems her ongoing divorce from Simon Guobadia may have dampened her spirits as well as her ability to film in the marital home.

Porsha recently took to her YouTube channel to share some of her thoughts on Brittany and the show as a whole. This comes after Drew Sidora questioned the newbie about her past in one of the recent episodes. Luckily, The Bravo Shaderoom captured clips. Porsha started, “I do like that Brit is honest. I feel like Brit stands in her truth, and I like that she can own who she is.”

The mother of one then said, “That is quintessential when it comes to a real housewife. Those are the ones who make it past one season. The ones that, honestly, I wanna say right or wrong, but it’s just you stand in your truth. Whatever you believe. Whoever you are, you own that and what you say, you can stand behind. That is a housewife that can last season to season to season to season.”

She added, “Yes, they make mistakes. Yes, they are imperfect, but you know who they are and you know what they say is their truth. So, I do like that about Brit.”

Then, she spoke a bit about the show in general. Porsha said, “Don’t ya’ll like this new refreshed look of Housewives with the younger girls. I think it’s cute. I really do. I did not expect the scene from Drew and Brit, but it was okay. It was cute seeing them together. Now, I will say Drew, who signed her up to be the one to hold Brit accountable when she needs to be held accountable, but okay.”

Porsha then continued talking about the Drew and Brit scene. She said, “I think that Drew did her job of asking her questions. I’m not gonna say hold Brit accountable because at the end of the day, Brit already held herself accountable. I mean, damn are we just gonna beat a dead horse? Girl is like, ‘I’m bleeding out. I know, I know. I have a past, let it go.'”

Porsha went on, “She asked the right questions, and Brit answered them. Like, what else can you say? Who doesn’t have a past? We don’t have the same past, but Brit owns who she is and her past, and who she is now is a beautiful person, and everybody learns from their past. Everybody can become someone else, and so yeah, I think it was difficult for Brit to have that conversation, but I felt like she dealt with it with grace. I really do. I felt like she did not beat Drew up. She did not chop her head off. She answered her questions.”

Porsha then said that it’s all in how you ask questions about someone’s past and highlighted that Drew did it during a one-on-one conversation instead of with a group. One can assume that Porsha was referring to Kelli Ferrell here when she asked about “stealing” Simon from Falon.

Some fans weren’t loving what Porsha had to say. One person commented, “Who told Porsha we wanted to hear from her and her assessments of the episode??? They lied sweety.”

Someone else said, “Porsha, you’ve been my favorite for years now.. pleaseee don’t get on the wrong side!! Just sit this out. We don’t like her, and you can’t convince us otherwise!”

Another fan commented, “Wrong road Porsha…wrong road.” Finally, a different viewer said, “Spell Quintessential.”
