Porsha Williams reveals her "hope" for Shamea Morton

On Tuesday, May 13, Porsha hopped on Instagram to share a sweet birthday message for her longtime friend. The post included photos of the pair’s most memorable moments together, including girls’ trips, costume parties, and holiday celebrations. RHOA’s Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey also appeared in a few of the shots, along with Porsha’s sister, Lauren Williams, and RHOA alum Kandi Burruss.

“Happy Birthday [Shamea Morton],” Porsha captioned the Instagram. “I hope you get everything your heart desires. You deserve it.”

The fallout between Porsha and Shamea was explored in RHOA Season 16, in which both ladies claimed they felt unsupported by the other. Porsha shed more light on the rift during a March Q&A on Instagram, saying the friendship changed after Shamea became a full-time Housewife.

“I mean, you know, when you come on a show and you have certain expectations and then things seem to turn on you — without you knowing — that can change any relationship,” Porsha explained.

Although she didn’t provide any more details on their issues, Porsha reassured fans that more would be revealed in Season 16.

Shamea Morton says her castmates played a role in Porsha Williams rift

Shamea shared similar comments during her May 11 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, saying her fallout with Porsha was “unfortunate.”

“That is absolutely reality; we are no longer as close as we used to be,” she said before claiming the drama was fueled by their castmates. “This is what happened a lot: The ladies will come to me like, ‘Hey, you know, I heard she didn’t come to your wedding… That must have hurt you.’ I’m like, ‘Absolutely, it was a very hurtful thing, but we’ve moved past it.’”

“You feel like the ladies got in the middle of your friendship?” host Andy Cohen asked.

“Absolutely, but they would’ve never been able to do that if it was just me,” Shamea replied. “The fact that [Porsha] opened up and allowed our friendship to be open for discussion, it blows me [away]. I don’t understand it.”
