Prayers Pouring In For Family Of NFL Legend Jim Kelly

The NFL community is praying for Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly and his family this week. 

Kelly, 65, has dealt with health complications for over a decade. In 2023, he was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in his jaw. He announced a year later that he contracted MRSA within his bones. Unfortunately, his cancer returned in March 2018. Thankfully, he's been cancer free for a few years now.

Earlier this week, however, Kelly had devastating news to share with NFL fans around the world. 

Kelly revealed that his daughter Erin's newborn child was born with unexpected medical complications. His grandson underwent a procedure this past Wednesday. 

"Little Bean’s procedure is complete — and everything went well. THANK GOD!We are overwhelmed with gratitude for God’s hand in every detail today… for highly skilled and compassionate doctors and nurses… and for every single prayer that’s been lifted on our behalf.Today was a victory! To God be all the glory," Kelly wrote. "But this is just the beginning — and we humbly ask you to PLEASE KEEP PRAYING as the healing journey begins.

"Our continued prayer is that Little Bean’s body will begin to heal and adjust to all that took place this morning… that his body will strengthen… and that, in time, he’ll be able to come off the ventilator and be able to go home. We are trusting God for strength, for restoration, and for many little miracles in the days ahead. Please also cover Parker and Erin in prayer. They are physically and emotionally exhausted — yet holding onto gratitude, hope, and deep faith in the One who holds their precious baby boy."
