Ramona Singer is reportedly considering a political run.
Years after she was last seen on The Real Housewives of New York City, the controversial 68-year-old is allegedly planning to crossover into politics in Florida, where she seems to spend most of her time, potentially with a seat in the Florida House or with a role in Palm Beach County.

“She thinks she’s the next Marjorie Taylor Greene,” Rob Shuter declared on his Substack page.
“Ramona is seriously considering a run for office,” one Palm Beach socialite told #ShuterScoop. “She’s been talking to conservative donors and wants to frame herself as a no-nonsense, straight-talking woman of the people. The problem is… she’s Ramona.”
Ramona is certainly no stranger to controversy, and she most recently sparked outrage by sharing a photo with Daniel Penny, the U.S. Marine who was acquitted in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely in late 2024.
“So proud Daniel Penny !! #apennysaved #hero,” Ramona captioned the image, which appears to have since been deleted.
Although Ramona may have regretted the share, or at least the backlash she received because of it, a source accused her of “doubling down” on her antics because “she sees it as her brand now.”
“Controversy fuels her. She thinks this makes her relevant again,” the insider explained.
Another source, described as a political strategist, suggested that despite Ramona’s public persona, she could have a chance at a political career in the Sunshine State.
“She’s already got a base of followers, she’s wealthy, and she’s friends with a lot of conservative players. Don’t laugh — in Florida, that’s enough to land a seat,” they stated.
Still, one of her former co-stars added, “She’s the last person who should be representing anyone. She can’t even handle a reunion taping without storming off.”
As RHONY fans may know, Ramona has been accused of racism and texting the “n-word” to a reporter from Page Six in recent years.
“She’s always believed she was ‘misunderstood,’” an insider close to Ramona shared. “Now she’s spinning that into a political narrative: that she’s a truth-teller being silenced. It’s classic Ramona delusion — but it’s also dangerous.”
Someone else claimed that Ramona’s possible political aspirations are simply a fame grab.
“She’s not running for office because she wants to serve. She just misses the camera,” the Bravo insider added.
Over the weekend, after Ramona shared her photo with Daniel, Mr. Housewives reshared the post on his Instagram page.
“Ramona Singer just uploaded a photo with Daniel Penny, praising him as a hero—which is both shocking and disturbing, especially considering that he killed an innocent man in 2023,” the fan page explained. “Daniel, a former U.S. Marine, made headlines in May 2023 after placing 30-year-old Jordan Neely—a homeless Black man and well-known Michael Jackson impersonator—in a fatal chokehold on a NYC subway.”
“Jordan had reportedly been yelling and acting erratically on the train, but was unarmed. Daniel, with help from two other passengers, restrained him. Jordan died shortly after,” he continued. “The city medical examiner ruled his death a homicide due to neck compression. Daniel was later charged with second-degree manslaughter.”
After claiming self-defense, Daniel was acquitted.
“But many saw this as another tragic example of racial bias, excessive force, and the failure to support those struggling with mental illness,” the fan page added. “Ramona aligning herself with this man says a lot.”
In the comments section of Mr. Housewife‘s post, a number of people weighed in on the controversial image, many of whom admitted they were not surprised by Ramona’s pic.
“Ramona’s always been a daughter of the confederacy we know who she’s been,” one person stated.
“Who is shocked???” another asked. “Ramona has beeeen this way, one of the perks of the rhony reboot was never having to see Ramona.”
“Not shocked.. She’s disgusting, whoever wants her back is part of the problem,” a third declared.
Others suggested Ramona was to blame for RHONY being put on pause — and for the show’s downfall.
“Ramona has [always] been a bigot and [trash],” someone concluded.
Ramona Singer appeared on The Real Housewives of New York City in a full-time role from season one through season 13.
