Now that the Rangers have their coach, the roster work can begin.
The Blueshirts agreed to terms on a two-year extension with pending restricted free agent forward Juuso Pärssinen on Friday.
Rangers center Juuso Parssinen (71) moves the puck against the Los Angeles Kings.
The deal is expected to carry an average annual value of $1.25 million, per The Post’s Larry Brooks.
Pärssinen came to New York, along with defenseman Calvin de Haan and two conditional 2025 draft picks, in a March 1 trade with the Avalanche that sent Ryan Lindgren, Jimmy Vesey and prospect Hank Kempf to Colorado.
Conor Garland #8 of the Vancouver Canucks controls the puck as Juuso Parssinen #71 of the New York Rangers defends.
The 24-year-old appeared in 11 games with the Blueshirts this season, recording two goals and three assists.
