The New York Rangers are heading into one of their biggest offseasons in years.
After missing the playoffs and dealing with internal issues within the organization, the Rangers are in need of some change.
Rangers president and general manager Chris Drury believes the current status quo is unsustainable for the franchise moving forward.
“Chris Drury is determined to make substantial personnel changes, even if lateral ones, because the GM believes the chemistry in the room was not conducive to a constructive work environment, multiple sources who attended the combine in Buffalo have told The Post,” The Larry Brooks of The New York Post writes.
Multiple NHL insiders are reporting about Drury’s desire to make substantial changes this summer as trade rumors continue to pick up steam.
According to Arthur Staple of The Athletic, the only untouchables on the Rangers’ roster in trade discussions are Igor Shesterkin, Artemi Panarin, and Adam Fox.
Drury isn’t afraid to pull the trigger on trades, something we saw a lot during the 2024-25 season when he moved on Jacob Trouba, Kaapo Kakko, Filip Chytil, Ryan Lindgren, and Jimmy Vesey.
K’Andre Miller and Chris Kreider are the two players taking the brunt in all of these rumors, but there very well could be even more personnel change outside of just Miller and Kreider.
Let the summer of madness begin.
