The Rangers believe that they can play a lot better as a collective unit.

While the New York Rangers currently hold an impressive 9-3-1 record, their play hasn’t been up to the level they want it to be at.

Between the defensive mishaps and lack of offensive possession time, the Rangers need to tweak some things about their game.

The team has just been too reliant on their goaltenders, which they are well aware of.

“We still have not played the best hockey and we have a pretty good record,” Filip Chytil said. “We have to find our game. We are working to that point, but it’s still not there yet.

“We have unbelievable goalies that have kept us in games. We know they are unbelievable, but we can’t just count on them that they are just going to win us every game. We have to help them.”

Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick have done their part, and now it’s time for the entire team to take some pressure off the two goalie’s backs.

It’s clear the Rangers have the talent and while they’ve shown flashes of their potential, New York has struggled to play a consistent brand of hockey over the past couple of weeks.

We are only 13 games into the season, so there is no reason to panic, especially knowing what the Rangers are capable of accomplishing as a team.

As Chytil said though, the Rangers have to find their game and hopefully that happens sooner rather than later.
