Since 2020, the Atlanta Falcons have had some high draft picks in the first round, and with the draft on the way here is a ranking of each first round pick since that time period.
5. Michael Penix Jr.
The main reason for Penix being fifth on this list is his minimal playing time and being a backup all but three games last season. He has very high potential and could be number one or number two on this list in the future but as of right now he will need a season or two to prove himself as a starter and the future of the Falcons.
4. AJ Terrell
Coming out of Clemson there were high expectations for Terrell. He was a 2019 National Championship winner and was destined to be a first rounder after a very successful college career.
Terrell has yet to make a Pro Bowl but was a Second-Team All-Pro in 2021, He has six career interceptions in five seasons and has started all 78 games that he has played as a Falcon. He was the 16th pick in 2020 and has been a consistent starter since then.
3. Kyle Pitts
The highest drafted tight end in NFL history went to the Falcons as the fourth pick in 2021 and was a pro bowler as a rookie, which is why he is above Terrell on this list. His overall numbers still leave much to desire, as he has 196 catches for 2,651 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Since his rookie season, his yardage and catches have decreased but his touchdowns have increased by one each season. He has been in trade rumors all offseason and might be on another roster when the season starts.
2. Drake London
London was the 8th pick out of USC in 2022 and has played 50 out of 51 possible games in his career. He currently has 241 catches for 3,042 yards and 15 touchdowns in his career.
He is coming off of his breakout season and his first 1,000-yard campaign and also had 9 touchdowns. He holds the franchise record for catches as a rookie and looks to have an all-pro season in 2025.
1. Bijan Robinson
Robinson became a Pro Bowler in his second season with 1,456 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground. The 8th pick in 2023 out of Texas, broke into the scene quick as a rookie and totaled over 1,300 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Robinson emerged as one of the best running backs in the NFL and will continue to improve as he gains more experience and now has a new quarterback behind center. Robinson looks to break into all pro status after his first pro bowl appearance.
The Falcons look to add on to an impressive list of first round picks in this year's draft.
