What happened on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 Episode 13?

With Phaedra in tow, the ladies kicked off their trip to Grenada this week. Kelli and Shamea came up with a goal for the trip: reset, renew, rebirth. RHOA Season 16 Episode 13 was all about the reset, with Kelli pushing for peace between all of the ladies. After 16 seasons of this show, we know that’s going to be easier said than done.
Shamea and Kelli want to pay it forward

Last week, Shamea and Kelli started planning this trip to let their hair down, but also with the intention of giving back to Grenada. One of their islands was hit hard by Hurricane Beryl right around the time the ladies took this trip. With that in mind, the ladies felt like they needed to “pay it forward’ and show the island some love during their trip.
Episode 13 kicked off with Shamea and Kelli sorting through donations from the RHOA cast, noting how they received boxes and bags of items from Cynthia, Drew, Porsha, and Angela. The only person who didn’t seem ready to contribute was Brit.
Brit, who may or may not have had a pistol on her, showed up at Sterling Hall with a couple of rolls of toilet paper, talking about how that’s all she could carry. It looked like she just stopped at Walgreens and grabbed whatever they had on sale. She claimed someone would be bringing more later.
Of course, no one is expecting her to be like Bethenny Frankel, showing up with a semitruck full of supplies for hurricane victims. They were just hoping to see a little more effort. Instead, she showed up still complaining about her botched Country Club Classic, blaming the event planner for the disastrous get-together.
“I had the worst experience with my event planner,’ Brit recalled. “It wasn’t a representation of how I would have done things.”
Porsha and Drew met for tea and spilled some, too on Real Housewives of Atlanta

Since Season 16 Episode 1, Porsha has been complaining about the relationship between Drew and Dennis. One week, she acts like she doesn’t care, but then the next week, she’s filming with Ralph in a clear attempt at revenge. Ahead of the Grenada trip, they wanted to have a one-on-one to try to resolve things once and for all. Long story short: they didn’t.
“If we’re going to be on the trip with the girls, I just don’t want any bad feelings,” Porsha claimed in a confessional, right before refusing to take any accountability for her shady dinner with Ralph.
According to Porsha, Drew should have tried harder to denounce the rumors that she was dating Dennis. She said that Drew was already dating someone named Black, so she should have been upfront about that. Drew hit back with, “Well, aren’t you dating [Future] and not talking about it?”
Drew theorized that Porsha’s anger is just misdirected emotion she’s holding onto because of her nasty divorce from Simon. With that accusation on the table, Porsha said that Drew was being “combative” and ran away from the coffee shop. She hopped into her Mercedes-Benz and went on about her day, leaving Drew to drink her tea alone with nothing resolved.
Reset, Renew, Rebirth

In the second half of the episode, the ladies met up at the airport and ventured off to Grenada. Hilariously, this was he first time Angela and Phaedra met. The RHOA newbie said she was willing to approach Phaedra with a fresh perspective and not linger on the things she heard about her. Meanwhile, Phaedra hit Angela below the belt in her confessional.
“Angela is the oldest young woman I’ve ever met,” Phaedra quipped. “I hope her personality is more youthful than her face.”
Yikes! Between comments like that and the clip in the midseason trailer showing Phaedra throwing out accusations about Charles, we’re probably about to see a nasty feud play out between these two. We’re seated for that.
Despite the messiness, Kelli and Shamea felt determined to make this trip about positivity. They devised a theme: reset, renew, rebirth. Kelli even packed a quartz crystal to make sure they could achieve their goal at the first dinner.
Drew landed in the hot seat at the first dinner in Grenada

Season 16 is starting to get a little bit repetitive in the sense that every time they sit down for a meal, they all start talking about Drew. It happened at the Country Club Classic, it happened in Nashville, and now, it happened all over again in Grenada.
“I really want us to all come together on this trip and reset the tone and the mood,” Kelli began. “And I want to reset this energy with Shamea and Drew.”
That prompted Drew and Shamea to rehash the “lapdog” comment. Of course, we’ve seen in the last few episodes that Shamea is far from Porsha’s lapdog at this point. For the ladies at the table, this sparked a good conversation about how Porsha and Shamea’s sensitive friendship caused a lot of unnecessary grief for the whole group. Moving forward, they’re just going to keep that friendship off-limits.
From there, they shifted back to addressing the Porsha and Drew drama. This has to be attempt number 20. In the words of Porsha back in Season 6, “Ya’ll want some gum? Ya’ll need some lip gloss? Ya’ll mouth getting dry talking about the same thing? ‘Cause mine is”.
Fortunately, Kelli was relentless with her quest for a reset. She wasn’t going to let these ladies get away from the table without making progress, and after 13 episodes, Porsha and Drew finally squashed their beef. Drew apologized for working with Dennis behind Porsha’s back.
“I hear you, Drew, and I receive that,” Porsha said. “It’s over.”
Brit shared a not-so-shocking confession with Phaedra

With Porsha and Drew’s beef settled, this episode could have also been over, but of course, Brit had to chime in with some nonsense. Out of nowhere, she made a confession of her own about a connection to Phaedra’s ex-husband, Apollo Nida.
“I just personally want to say to you, Phaedra, at my event, Apollo and his wife were invited through my husband,” Brit began. “I don’t know Apollo. I’ve never had a relationship with him. There was never any malicious intent.”
That statement left everyone confused. If you listened closely, you might have heard Grenadian crickets. Phaedra couldn’t care less about an event Apollo didn’t attend. She would have only cared if Brit had invited Apollo and his wife on the cast trip. Just ask the ladies from Married to Medicine.
