Although a cast member just announced that they’re trying to sue Bravo for $20 million, the show must go on! The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 aired as planned this week as the women continued their vacation to Grenada. A little bit of litigation can’t stop a season in progress.
Last week, Kelli and Shamea shared that the intention for this Caribbean trip was to reset, renew, and rebirth. We’ve seen the reset, so that means it’s time for the renewal.
On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 Episode 14, “Chapter 2: RENEW,” we picked back up in Grenada, where, for the most part, the vibes were good. That is, until Brit and Shamea clashed over the donations collected for the island. Is anyone else noticing a common denominator here?
What happened in The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 Episode 14?

Last week, the women achieved their goal of “resetting” the dynamics in the group with Porsha and Drew finally coming to a peaceful conclusion in their feud. This week, they continued their Caribbean adventure with a cooking class and a meeting with the Prime Minister of Grenada. The Housewives were basically a step away from being Ambassadors to Grenada, but Brit and Shamea had to bring things down with a passive-aggressive feud. We’re not sure where that its into reset, renew, rebirth, but keep on reading for the full episode breakdown.
The morning after

Episode 14 picked up on Day 2 in Grenada. The women were in various states of disarray from their boozy night out. Apparently, Brit reset a little too hard and wound up puking out of the van on the way back to the hotel. According to Phaedra, Brit puked so hard that her nipple inverted itself. Who even knew that was possible?
Regardless, the trip must go on. Poor Shamea’s bags still haven’t arrived, but she’s refusing to let that get in the way of their good time in Grenada. For Day 2, she and Kelli planned two separate excursions. One group got to go see a waterfall while the others did a cooking class with Kelli and some local chefs. The ladies were fully ready for vacation mode, but drama lingering from back home in Atlanta had some of the group in a sour mood.
Where in the world is Charles Oakley?

The trip to Grenada just happens to take place at the same time as Charles and Angela’s anniversary. Angela said this was the first time they’ve ever been apart for their special day, and she was feeling a little emotional about it.
She called him when they got to the island, but he was “too busy” to talk to her. She tried FaceTiming him on Day 2 before going to the cooking class with Kelli. He didn’t answer. It’s looking suspicious, especially considering how much time Angela has spent going to bat for this man.
It doesn’t help that Angela randomly told the group that Charles never wears his wedding ring. So, they’re not together on their anniversary. He doesn’t wear his wedding ring, and as Porsha pointed out, there are those lingering rumors about a “phantom baby.”
Meanwhile, Phaedra told some of the ladies that she knew Charles and had seen him around Atlanta. She described him as a party animal who’s always at the center of the action. According to Phaedra, he doesn’t “act married,” and we have a feeling that comment is going to come back to haunt her at some point.
Three paper towels and a Birkin

When Kelli and Shamea collected donations to support hurricane survivors in Grenada, Brit’s contributions seemed sparse compared to everyone else. She showed up with a couple of items she picked up from CVS on the way there. You could tell there wasn’t a lot of thought put into it. The ladies said it looked like three paper towels. We’ll go out on a limb here and say we’re pretty sure there was a roll of toilet paper in there, too.
Either way, Shamea didn’t forget about it, and at dinner on Night 2, she called out Brit for her lack of donations. You could tell this had been bubbling under the surface, with Shamea giving Brit a lot of passive-aggressive energy throughout the episode. When she finally brought up the donation situation, you almost felt bad for Brit as she found herself in the hot seat, once again.
“You can’t pull up in Birkin, Rolls-Royces, and Bentleys, and then not really give when it counts,” Shamea told Brit.
Supposedly, Brit did send Shamea $250 via Cash App to help with the donations, which means she probably spent a total of $260 on this. Regardless, Shamea and Kelli argued that Brit should have known better.
The peaches meet the Prime Minister

The conversation about Brit’s donations also sparked a dust-up between her and Porsha. Brit felt like Porsha had been cold to her. On the other hand, Porsha said that Brit hadn’t been “open” to creating a friendship. The real issue here is that no one really knows Brit, outside of the feuds she’s had in Season 16.
“Brit, let’s talk in a friendly tone,” Porsha told her at one point.
The ladies were mid-argument when a motorcade pulled up. It’s like they almost forgot that they had a date with the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell. With a dignitary in their presence, the ladies put their argument on pause to greet the politician.
The ladies were going feral over the men in Grenada, and Prime Minister Mitchell wasn’t exempt from that. Then, when they found out he’s single with two kids? Forget about it! The ladies hilariously tried to brainstorm who would be the best First Lady of Grenada. Kelli? Porsha? Maybe Angela, if Charles doesn’t get his act together?
It takes a village

After having a drink wth the Prime Minister and dragging Brit for her three rolls of paper towels, the ladies headed back to their resort. Then, Shamea got a call from home that rocked her.
Apparently, whoever was taking care of Baby Shiloh left her lying in her cold bedroom with no pajamas. Immediately, Shamea felt guilty that her immunocompromised baby was at home suffering while she was whooping it up in Grenada.
Despite the drama the ladies had been navigating, they all rallied around Shamea while she dealt with the emotional aftermath of hearing about Shiloh’s night without pajamas. The entire cast huddled around her, wiping away her tears. Brit felt particularly moved by the moment and decided to bury the hatchet with Shamea.
Brit was like, “We are a part of your village! I’m sorry! I’m going to always be there for you no matter what! You are a sister! Let’s take a shot of tequila!”
The episode ended on a sweet note with the ladies pouring tequila shots. The credits rolled as Brit whipped out her breasts and rubbed them on the counter. So, they’ve reset, and now they’re feeling a sense of renewal. The next phase of this trip is the rebirth
