Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 20 Recap: Reunion, Part 3

Welcome to the recap for Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 20. Last week, the cast held Mia’s feet to the fire. She was accused of orchestrating her love triangle for a storyline, as well as her son’s paternity. Mia couldn’t take the heat, so she ran back to her dressing room. There was also major drama with Stacey. She revealed she was no longer dating TJ, and she had beef with Vivien regarding her dress at the finale. But it was TJ who dropped a bomb so big, we had to wait a whole week to find out what he said. Here’s exactly what went down in RHOP Season 9, Episode 20: “Reunion, Part 3.”

It was an epic ending to Season 9 of RHOP. Mia did not return to the set, leaving her sidekick Jacqueline time to shine in the limelight. However, all eyes were on Stacey when it was revealed that she paid TJ to be her boyfriend on the show. Or did she? It was a case of he said vs she said, with the group on TJ’s side. Andy also revealed unseen footage of Karen and Ray discussing her case. The group tried to predict what Karen’s sentencing would be, with the outcome being far more severe than anyone had thought.

We were left with a cliffhanger of Wendy gasping at her text from Eddie. However, they jumped right back to everyone sitting in their seats. Andy announced none of the guys would be appearing today, which opened the door for the TJ conversation. Andy asked Stacey why she didn’t want TJ to come, and she said it was because they were no longer together. Wendy asked, “Are you sure?” And then came the bomb.

Wendy shared that Eddie had called TJ to see why he didn’t come today. She said, “TJ let Eddie know that you actually paid him to be your love interest.” Everyone, including Andy, gasped. Wendy continued, “And TJ also told Eddie that you told him not to come. And TJ also said, run him his money, because the money is not adding up.” TJ needs to fire his agent if he’s not getting paid for his acting gigs.

Gizelle asked, “You owe him back money for pretending to be your boyfriend?” Stacey was incredulous. She said, “Let me say this right now. I absolutely do not believe anything that you’re saying.” Wendy quipped, “Oh, it’s on camera.” A bewildered Jacqueline asked, “Why would you have to pay for a boyfriend?” That’s the question of the hour.

Andy immediately contacted the control room to see if they had the footage, but it was on the camera that was being used to film Mia. Everyone was disappointed except for Stacey.

The group then wondered if she was going to call TJ to clear this up. Stacey didn’t want to “entertain a lie” and didn’t believe what Eddie said. For someone who thought it was a lie, she was remarkably calm hearing this news. Gizelle told Ashley, “She got Mia beat today!”

Andy showed Stacey the receipts

The footage was still unavailable, so the next best thing was to get Eddie to explain. Eddie said TJ told him that he was never going to be in DC again and that someone owed him money. When Stacey asked him who, Eddie sheepishly turned to her and stated, “He said you.” Eddie added, “He said she paid him to be here.” There was not enough popcorn in the world for this moment.

But wait, there’s more! Eddie continued, “He was tired of the narrative that was being painted of him, being this flamboyant person. He was just tired of being played with.” Of course, the amount of money came into question, but that was unknown. Andy asked, “Stacey, do you owe him money that has nothing to do with him appearing on the show?” She denied it all and still didn’t believe what Eddie said.

Eddie had spilled enough tea, so he went back to Greg, who was relieved he didn’t have to be on camera until next season. Andy noted Stacey could solve this mystery if she called TJ. Stacey responded, “I’m sure that I could just call him for everyone’s benefit here.” Gizelle and Ashley both pointed their fingers at her and said it was for her benefit, not theirs.

Wendy told her if she didn’t get this cleared up now, no one was going to believe what she said. Gizelle stated, “Character’s in question.” Hey, if it’s worked for Mia, why not for Stacey too?

Then the receipts finally arrived. Andy played Stacey the video proving Eddie right, and she responded with the “hurt people, hurt people” card. She said she would be calling TJ with her attorney, and everyone groaned. What reason did TJ have to lie?

Jacqueline was no longer a sidekick on Real Housewives of Potomac

Stacey was out of the hot seat for now. Andy switched gears and asked viewer questions about Karen. They were all surprisingly quiet when he asked if they thought she had a drinking problem. Ashley shared, “I think she used alcohol to cope with some of her difficulties.” Everyone agreed that Karen deflected and lashed out at others to distract from her case.

And that’s where Jacqueline came in. She was upset at Karen for dragging her all season regarding her comments about Karen’s drinking at the hattitude party. With Mia no longer there, Jacqueline put the blame onto her. She said, “So, to be very crystal clear, Mia threw me under the bus. And talked about our private conversation.” The student has become the master.

Jacqueline also admitted her eight balloons for eight citations gag didn’t quite land, but it was good shade nonetheless. She said it was retaliation for Karen talking about her ex’s past. Andy asked if Karen ever sued her for ruining the environment. Jacqueline snarked, “Listen, after this case that Karen has, I don’t think she has any money left to sue anybody.”

Karen’s case came back up, and Keiarna shared she was shocked that Karen never confided in her. Andy wondered why Karen even took the case to trial. Gizelle said, “She didn’t want to take any deal.” And supposedly there were two of them on the table.

Gizelle said, “I’ve heard six months house arrest; I heard 60 days jail.” Andy couldn’t believe she didn’t take house arrest. Gizelle added, “I feel like she thought she could win.” Then Ashley threw in an interesting twist to the story.

Ashley claimed a journalist reached out to her and said someone was in the car with Karen the night of her accident. We then cut to Karen telling Ray, “No, I didn’t drive the car either. And for them to decide to hop out is incredible.” The plot thickens.

Andy said the biggest mystery was Karen’s whereabouts before it happened. Gizelle predicted Karen was at a bar close to her home. Then it was time for Jacquline to exit. Could a flute be in her future?

Next came unseen footage of Karen and Ray before she went to rehab. Karen admitted she had upped her dose of antidepressants the night of her arrest. They also discussed how she always had a driver, which was where the “blue eyes” rumor came from. But no one was buying what she was selling.

Ashley said, “I mean, they certainly covered all the bases there.” Gizelle added, “That wasn’t accountability. Not to me.” Ashley also claimed she talked with a stranger who saw Karen “day drinking” at their restaurant. Wendy mentioned she went to “a certain place,” and they told her Karen “comes here every single day, and she gets drunk.” Eesh.

Andy wrapped it up and asked Stacey where she goes from here with TJ. She said, “I lost my best friend tonight. But still I rise.” Everyone lost it. Gizelle said, “Leave Maya Angelou alone!” And on that note, it was a stellar ending for another amazing season of RHOP.
