With the Presidential election only a few short months away political debates are heavy in the media. That got me thinking … not necessarily for the two candidates actually running for POTUS, but more of a Bravo-themed discussion. I’d love to see some of the titans of the industry put on their big girl panties and go head-to-head with their arch-rivals. Even though we wouldn’t be trying to figure out carbon emissions and gun laws, fans could see a whole new undertaking in the Thunderdome. At this point, I am more invested in some of my favorite Real Housewives than the next President of the United States.
Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kenya Moore vs NeNe Leakes
For some reason, Twirl, aka Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes, couldn’t figure out how to get along. Fans of the Real Housewives of Atlanta lost count of how many times these two mothers were at each other’s throats. It was also hard to pick a winner because both would become so loud and snarky. Season 12 showcased one of their worst fights to date. While at a baby shower during the season finale, the women had to be separated by security.
At the time, Kenya doubled down, telling NeNe she was a bully, saying, “Always been, always will be.” She even reminded fans that the OG had tried to spit on her in Greece. With actions like this and resorting to outlandish tactics, it is easy to question why neither of these two made it into the ring. I think it would be hard to find a winner, and I’d have to call a tie.
Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Giudice vs Melissa Gorga
A tale as old as time pops to mind when I think of these nutty sisters-in-law. For years, Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice just refused to make amends for the sake of their family. So, when it comes to a head-to-head squabble between the Garden State queens, my money is on Melissa. Even though Teresa will hit low, Missy G usually walks away from the drama. Teresa is one tough cookie, as she has dealt with a shady ex-husband and Federal charges of mortgage fraud.
Even behind bars, Teresa ran the show. For years, Garden State fans have watched the women go head-to-head over anything and everything. Don’t like the Christmas cookies Melissa brought? Throw them out. Think your brother can do better? Tell him. Teresa never held back her opinions and loved stirring the pot. Watching these two for the last ten years has been like watching Tyson vs Bruno. At the end of the day, viewers get front-row seats to a pay-per-view show.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City: Whitney Rose vs Mary Cosby
This next option almost doesn’t seem like a fair fight when I stop and really think about it. But for some unknown reason, I can’t get enough of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Mary Cosby and Whitney Rose facing off. The mother of two is this sweet former Mormon rose, and Mary is an ego-driven mad woman who just seems to torment Whitney for fun. Mary’s special way of either totally ignoring or saying “Little girl” really does the trick when it comes to disarming Whitney.
Sadly, the blonde usually just sits there and takes the abuse. Mary plays by her own rules which really isn’t fair. In the latest season, she tried to discredit Whitney by calling her a racist. But it is hard to target a person with that term, especially when Whitney has never said or acted badly. Mary fights dirty, so sadly, I think it would be a one-two knockout for Whit.
Real Housewives of Orange County: Shannon Beador vs Alexis Bellino
The fight fans have been waiting the entire year for has arrived with Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18. With the recasting of Alexis Bellino, the newly soberish Shannon Beador has her work cut out for her. Lex will be coming in hot with alliances and Shannon’s ex-boyfriend. I reckon Shannon will be stopped in her tracks if she tries to waffle during a conversation or gets stuck on the hamster wheel. It is clear from the sneak peek that Alexis isn’t taking any prisoners and is coming back to get the queen bee spot whether Shannon likes it or not.
