Lucas Raymond has played a lot of hockey this season – all 82 regular season games and three high-intensity games at the 4 Nations Face-Off. And he’s not done yet.
Raymond is the latest Detroit Red Wing who has committed to play at the World Championship. He joins teammate Simon Edvinsson on Team Sweden.
The tournament runs from May 9-25 in Stockholm, Sweden, and Herning, Denmark.
This will be the third consecutive year Raymond has played in this event. He had four goals and five assists in 10 games a year ago to help Sweden win the bronze medal. He has six goals and 17 points in 18 games overall at the Worlds.
Raymond led the Red Wings in scoring for the second year in a row with 80 points (27 goals, 53 assists).
