Jax Taylor will be seen being served with divorce documents in the upcoming second season of The Valley.
According to a new report, Jax, 45, was dealt with paperwork filed by his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, 35, amid filming on the new episodes on Tuesday, although they never actually appeared on camera together.
TMZ confirmed the news on August 28, revealing that a third party presented the documents to Jax as cameras rolled.
As Vanderpump Rules fans have surely heard, Brittany filed for divorce on Tuesday after five years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting primary legal and physical custody of their three-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi.
Since the filing was made public, Brittany has been flooded with support from her fans and followers, many of whom have applauded her splitting from Jax for good.
Although Jax has yet to respond to Brittany’s documents and has also not shared a comment about their impending divorce, TMZ said he is bothered by the support Brittany has received and feels she has a dark side that fans are not privy to.
The outlet also said that the second season of The Valley will be a “heavy one” as it suggested that Jax may not be the villain fans think he is.
“Jax is 100 percent on board with moving forward with the divorce,” another source told Page Six on August 28. “He’s been checked out from the marriage for a long time now. He just wants to have an amicable co-parent relationship.”
“[Divorce is] of course sad for them both because neither one of them envisioned that for themselves, [but it was] evident that they were not a good match [and] their vicious cycles needed to stop for the sake of their son,” the insider continued.
While Jax has reportedly exited treatment after a weeks-long, in-patient program aimed at mending his mental health issues, Brittany has been steering clear of him.
“Brittany hasn’t seen Jax since he’s been out of treatment,” the source shared. “[But] she plans to have him visit with Cruz.”
Following Brittany’s divorce filing on Tuesday, Jax was spotted enjoying a night out with co-star Jesse Lally at Craig’s in West Hollywood, and Brittany was photographed with Zack Wickham at Taisho in Sherman Oaks.
The Valley season two is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
