RHOA Recap: Shamea Reveals Off-Camera Convo With Porsha & Calls Her Out for Being Dismissive, Drew’s Battle With Ralph Rages on While Her Kids Act Out, Plus Angela Reunites With Her Mom as She Shades Charles

We get no Brit on this episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta as she is off to her friend’s wedding. But the rest of the group is left trying to figure out just what is going on between Porsha and Shamea.  Sit-downs seem to be the theme as Shamea and Porsha try to work out their friendship. Even Angela attempts to make her fractured family dynamic better with her mother. But even if an apology is received, does it really mean that things will go back to normal?

Angela and Charles head out for date night.  It seems like the couple has a funny relationship, one where Charles cannot confirm or deny if he loves Angela.  Anyway… Angela is ready to confront her sister (whose name is bleeped out!) and mom.  Ever since all the drama unfolded between Angela’s sister and daughter, she feels as though she has been slapped in the face because she tried to set her family up for success.  Angela has decided she will set a date with her mother in an attempt to find peace within her family.

Cynthia meets Shamea for some cocktails after the craziness of Porsha’s event.  Shamea feels a bit blindsided that all of the ladies put her friendship with Porsha on the line and wonders why Porsha didn’t come to her with the issues within their friendship privately.  Shamea feels like the ladies kept bringing up what a bad, unsupportive friend Porsha has been to her lately.  Shamea sees it too, but downplays all the times she has been disappointed with Porsha.

Cynthia understands this type of friendship with NeNe– the kind where you feel like you have to ASK your friend if she is, in fact, your friend. Shamea feels like her issues with Porsha have been exacerbated by the fall-out between Porsha’s mom and her mom.  Just because the friendship between the mothers fell apart, doesn’t mean their friendship has to implode.  Plus, Porsha’s mom doesn’t have to constantly question Shamea’s character, essentially planting ideas in Porsha’s head. It’s a shame they are going through this since it always seems like Porsha and Shamea have a good time together.

RHOA Recap: Shamea Calls Out Porsha for Being Dismissive and Spills Off-Camera Tea, Drew's Battle With Ralph Rages on While Her Kids Act Out, Plus Angela Reunites With Her Mom as She Shades Charles’ Age

Porsha, Angela, and Cynthia head to the bowling alley and Porsha’s a*s is a*sing. Angela wants some bumpers, but Porsha is appalled.  Porsha is, however, excited to just get out and do something “silly,” since PJ, her daughter, is having a hard time as of late.  She is sensitive to all of the change in their household between the divorce and Porsha’s new work schedule.  Porsha isn’t sure how to maneuver things and Cynthia gives some good advice.

When it comes to her friendship with Shamea, Porsha admits that she is “not strong enough to take” on the drama.  The narrative now seems like Porsha is just not a good friend and she admits that she is not the giving the greatest version of herself to others as she works through this divorce.

Drew is p*ssed after the meeting with her lawyer.  Ralph is trying to recuse Drew’s lawyer and, while he’s at it, trying to get 40% of BOTH of her businesses, all while living in the basement of the home and not paying any child support.  Say what? If Ralph does as well for himself as we all think he does, what is happening and why can’t he turn over his financial records?  Drew is ready to move on because this whole situation is not helping anyone.

Angela bought her mom a house in Atlanta and has been happy taking care of her, but we learn that Angela’s mother is now ready to be self-reliant.  Angela no longer has the responsibility of taking care of her mom and sister, and it’s probably a good thing, considering the way her sister spoke to her daughter. Angela is ready to get everything out with her mom and they discuss the rift between her mother and Charles.  Her mom throws some shade at Charles’s age (we can now see where Angela came from) and it leaves us wondering, just how old IS Charles?!

Kelli explains how hard it is to manage all the girls as she navigates this divorce.  She is anxious, especially when she discusses the new restaurant that is almost open. The price of everything has gone up, but Kelli knows that she needs to get this location open asap. She’s got bills to pay…and small BMWs to buy her soon-to-be-driving-daughter.

Drew’s mom has flown in to support her as this two-year divorce with Ralph continues to drag on.  Drew is “at war” with Ralph and her mom wonders why Ralph is able to co-parent with Drew, yet wants to drag her down in court. It’s no coincidence that their children are acting out as they fight in court and Drew’s mom brings this to Drew’s attention.  Drew becomes emotional when she realizes how this dysfunction has affected the children.  The “tough reality” is setting in for Drew.

The dueling besties finally have that sit down and things seem a bit…awkward. The tension is thick and Porsha initiates the talk.  Porsha claims this is unbelievable because Shamea has been off expressing her beef about her to everyone TO her.  Shamea bemoans the fact that stuff came out the way it did, but points out that all of Porsha’s petty behaviors seems dismissive.  As if on cue, Porsha yawns while Shamea spills her heart.  #onbrand.  Shamea still wants to maybe salvage the friendship, but Porsha’s version of a productive conversation seems off.

Shamea doesn’t like that Porsha’s mom tells her not to trust Shamea and wonders why Porsha can’t be honest on screen with her.  When she confronted Porsha about her behavior on and off camera, Porsha allegedly said “they will have to pay me” more money to be her true self.  Shamea begs to know why they can’t be how they are off camera and Porsha points out that since filming, the communication with Shamea has been strained.

Porsha calls Shamea’s accusations scary, but Shamea is simply asking for an honest Porsha on camera.  Now that Shamea has her peach, the audience can see BOTH sides of the story and now it feels like Porsha is minimizing her feelings.  A frustrated Porsha walks away from the table, only to come back and after an awkwardly silent beat, ask for the food to go.

There seems to be no resolve.  Shamea reminds Porsha that she cannot read her mind and Porsha finally admits to being overwhelmed.  Shamea knows that Porsha is often fragile, but she also thinks that Porsha SHOULD care about the things that hurt her. As Shamea opens up to Porsha, Porsha noisily rearranges the cutlery on the table.  Porsha asks what she can do to help and tearfully states that she does not want to break up with Shamea.  Porsha apologizes and they decide to move forward, promising to talk about their emotions before things spiral the way they did this time.  Shamea is ready to get matching tattoos with Porsha now.  But are they really ready for BFF?
