The peaches are back as The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 officially starts production. Bravo has confirmed the cast for the new season, which sees Shereé Whitfield exit the franchise.
Porsha Williams‘ return to the reality series was announced earlier this year as the star signed an overall scripted talent deal with NBCUniversal. Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora are the only housewives from Season 15 returning for the new season.
Season 16 adds longtime friend Shamea Morton Mwangi, who has made appearances on the show over the years as a friend of Williams.
Returning as a guest is Cynthia Bailey, who left the franchise after Season 13.
Bravo also confirmed that RHOA would see the additions of Angela Oakley, Brittany Eady, and Kelli Ferrell.
Among those missing from the announcement was Whitfield, who is an OG cast member of the franchise. The She by Shereé founder has been with the show since its premiere in 2008. Whitfield left after four seasons and returned to Bravo as a guest in Season 8 before becoming full-time in Season 9.
After two seasons, Whitfield departed RHOA again and returned as a guest in Season 13 before being offered a full-time role in Season 14. With two more seasons under her belt, Whitfield exited the franchise again.
Deadline has reached out to Whitfield’s representatives, and we will update you when we hear back.
RHOA was placed on pause amid a cast shakeup, which included Kandi Burruss’s exit after 14 seasons on the show. Other departures included Marlo Hampton and Sanya Richards-Ross.
