RHOA Star Set to Appear on ‘Brilliant Minds’

   

It looks like Porsha Williams of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” is stepping into her actress era. She will appear on the second season of the NBC series, “Brilliant Minds.”

According to a new report by Variety, Porsha Williams is one of four guest stars that the series has confirmed.

According to the new Variety report, Porsha Williams (“The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “The Traitors”), Connor Tomlinson (“Love on the Spectrum”), Molly Bernard (“Younger,” “Chicago Med”), and Laura Vandervoort (“Smallville,” “Age of Dysphoria”) all have guest roles on the medical drama.

Williams and Vandervoort will both be in the very first episode of Season 2, while Bernard will appear in episode two and Tomlinson turns up in episode three.

Porsha Williams will play Bitsy, a character described as “an affluent Upper West Side housewife who sees Dr. Carol Pierce (Tamberla Perry) at her private practice. She knows all the gossip about everyone, on every medical board in New York City.”

“Brilliant Minds” has also added new regular additions, Bellamy Young and Al Calderon. The returning cast members from the first season include Zachary Quinto, Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears, and Donna Murphy.

Porsha shared the news on Instagram, captioning her post, “Brilliant Minds here we come #Actress #BrilliantMinds.”

The life and work of author and physician Oliver Sacks inspire the series. According to the “Brilliant Minds” official logline, the show “follows a revolutionary, larger-than-life neurologist (Quinto) and his team of interns as they explore the last great frontier-the human mind–while grappling with their own relationships and mental health.”

 

Michael Grassi serves as creator, writer and executive producer. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Lee Toland Krieger, DeMane Davis, Melissa Aouate, Henrik Bastin, Jonathan Cavendish, Andy Serkis, and Shefali Malhoutra also executive produce.

As for Porsha Williams, she took three years away from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and then returned for Season 16, which recently concluded. She is expected to return to the Bravo series for Season 17, this time as a full-time peach holder. It has been rumored that one of the terms of her return was the exit of former bestie, Shamea Morton. So far, Bravo has refused to comment on casting for Season 17.
