Much has been said about season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. So far, many are calling Angela Oakley an early fan favorite for her ability to hold her co-stars accountable when needed. Now, she’s opening up in a new interview about the recently resurfaced clip of Wendy Williams talking about their encounter at a party, the beef between Kelli Ferrell and Brittany “Brit” Eady, as well as her thoughts ahead of the reunion and only having Drew Sidora as an ally.

As fans of RHOA know, Angela has been defended quite a bit on social media following one of the recent episodes. In it, viewers saw the newbie confront Porsha Williams after she claimed she would have sex with her husband. Of course, Shamea Morton has also been embroiled in the drama as she not only seemingly co-signed Porsha’s comments but also didn’t take accountability during her sit-down with Angela at Cynthia Bailey‘s event.

Angela recently sat down for an interview on The Viall Files podcast to discuss her first season on the show. One of the first notable parts came when Nick asked how she felt about her standing ahead of the reunion for RHOA season 16 being filmed. Regarding who she thinks will “come for her,” the newbie responded, “I think all of them are gonna come for me. I don’t feel like I have any allies. I hope that I’m wrong, with the exception of Drew. I hope that I’m wrong.”

She went on, “I don’t see any inroads to saying, ‘hey, Angela may have been right.’ I don’t see any inroads to support. And so I don’t know where or if that’s gonna show up. However, I only have my intentions on clearing up some things that happened at the finale. And that happens with Phaedra when she comes. So they can come for me. I’ll just be blocking them, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.”

The co-host then stated that it seemed like Angela and Porsha ended things on a somewhat positive note and then asked what went wrong in the second half of the season. Notably, Angele then mentions Phaedra Parks. She said, “I feel like she tagged in help. That’s just what it is.” As fans know, Phaedra will return in a future episode, and cast members have said in previous interviews that they had friction at first.

The interview went on, and the hosts then asked about Kelli and Brit’s beef. According to Angela, “Their beef was so good. It was so funny. I was just like, I love it. Give me more. It was just good to me. I mean, enough of me. Let’s talk about Kelli and Britt. So it surprised me, but I will say it’s very entertaining.”

Regarding whether she picked a side in their beef, Angela revealed, “Of course, I was on a side. Kelli, you did no wrong. Kelli, I love you.”

Next, the Wendy Williams situation came up, and she discussed the alleged “side baby.” Angela explained, “Charles did not have a side baby. We can clear that. His son is of age. I don’t know if it’s the time for me to tell his true age, but I initially said it. And Wendy Williams and I had a conversation that just went left. I gave her some unsolicited advice.” For context, at the time that Wendy and Angela met, her then-husband had recently had a side baby with his mistress.

Angela continued, “I told her maybe she should stay with her husband. And I know he had a baby on her, but I just thought I was the biggest Wendy fan. And I felt like now’s my chance.I saw her in a private event, and I just went up to her. If Charles knew I did this ahead of time, he would have just kicked me out of the party. Because of me and my big mouth.”

She then said that Wendy “went off” on her due to the unsolicited advice. She continued, “She added that I said he had a baby on me. It was not Charles Oakley. No, it was my oldest daughter’s father.”

Kelli then came up again, and the hosts asked Angela for her thoughts on her fellow RHOA newbie. She shared, “You know what? I will say after this episode, I was a little disappointed in Kelly, because I just want her to plant her flag and just be like, this is what it is. And sometimes I feel like she kind of, you know, goes wherever the wind blows.”

She added, “But I just didn’t have an ally. And I was, you know, looking around like, oh, so it’s all of y’all.” It’s important to note that Anegla is talking about the scene from a recent episode where Brit brought up the alleged side baby and Kelli doubled down on it.

They then got to Drew, and if Angela felt like she left her hanging in that moment. She said, “Yeah. Yeah. And then I look back, I’m like, ‘where were you?’ You know, we didn’t see that, but I’m like, ‘where are you?’ And then I was like, in Nashville, I kind of felt like, ‘where are you?’”

She then said, “And then again, I feel like Drew could only assist me. Her help would have been minimal because I felt like I got this, you know? Drew, sit down.” They also asked Angela how she’s handling being a first-season housewife and if it’s everything she thought it would be.

She responded, “No, it’s not. It’s not. And they say you get upset three times when it happens, when you see it, and then at the reunion. So I’m on my second time getting upset about what I’m seeing. But overall, I feel like we’re doing okay.”

Toward the end, Angela was asked if she would return for another season if asked, and she said she’d have to see how the rest of the episodes play out.
