If you watch Basketball Wives or The Real Housewives of Atlanta, you’ve definitely heard about the relationship between Ty Young and Drew Sidora over the last few weeks. We know they were close, but were they romantic? That depends on who you ask.
During a recent episode of RHOA, Ralph Pittman claimed that part of the reason why he divorced Drew was because she had an affair with Ty. Now, Drew is sharing her side of the story. She’s not denying they had a flirty relationship, but she does deny that it caused her divorce.
Drew Sidora got the “attention” she needed from Ty Young rather than Ralph Pittman
Drew sat down with Carlos King, a former Housewives producer, for an episode of his Reality with the King podcast. During their conversation, Drew cleared up the timeline on her relationship with Ty and how it impacted her unstable marriage.
According to Drew, RHOA viewers only saw a fraction of the chaos that Ralph put her through over their 10 years of marriage. By the time Ty came into her life, she and Ralph were already on the brink of separation.
“If a cardboard box would have came and shown me some attention, I would have given it,” Drew quipped.
Drew went on to detail how the Basketball Wives star gave her all of the attention that Ralph wasn’t. Ty laughed at her jokes and made Drew feel comfortable. Meanwhile, Drew’s issues with Ralph were spiraling out of control at home. She said they were actively having conversations about separating.
“Before me and Ty, there was so much that happened,” Drew explained. “At that point, Ralph had moved out of the bedroom. I met with a divorce attorney.”
Although Ralph made it seem like Drew and Ty crossed the line of infidelity, Drew told Carlos that their relationship was simply a “friendship.” She thinks that Ralph just used their connection as an excuse to move forward with the divorce that was already in motion.
“I feel like he waited for a reason,” Drew continued. “He waited for a reason, and i feel like that friendship was that reason he hung onto, and he‘s still hanging onto it.”
