Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shamea Morton is setting the record straight after an intense unaired moment left fans speculating.
In the May 4 episode of RHOA: After Show, Shamea, 42, revealed that she confronted her husband, Gerald Mwangi, about their finances following a tense meeting with Cynthia Bailey’s prophet at the Bailey-Q — a moment that didn’t air in the main episode.
“[The prophet] was talking like we in some trouble financially,” Shamea said. “I went home like, ‘Let me see that account. Do I need to downsize? Are the kids still going to private school?’ But the accounts were accounting!”
While the scare turned out to be a false alarm, Shamea admitted it made her rethink her spending habits.
But financial fears weren’t the only thing on her mind. Shamea also voiced confusion and frustration over Angela Oakley’s grudge against her — despite Angela quickly forgiving Porsha Williams for a much worse offense.
“They made up so fast at the Juneteenth event,” Shamea recalled. “I was just so shocked. Like, you that mad at me? But not the one who said she wanted to sleep with your husband?”
Kelli Ferrell chimed in, backing Shamea: “She wasn’t feeling you, but she forgave the one that wanna f*ck your husband?”
Shamea said she found it odd that Angela expected her to “check” Porsha during the moment. “We weren’t close like that. If the tables were turned, I would’ve had a sense of humor about it,” she added.
Meanwhile, Angela had her own version of events. In her After Show confessional, Angela claimed her disappointment stemmed from having just made peace with Shamea, expecting more loyalty between wives.
“Wives I’m around don’t play about their husbands. If I see my best friend say something that could hurt another woman or herself, I check her,” Angela explained. “But Shamea didn’t — because it’s this mind control I witnessed in real time.”
As season 16 continues, it’s clear the tension between these women is far from over.
