If you thought the Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia divorce saga was wrapping up anytime soon, think again.
What started as a whirlwind relationship, remember, they were engaged just days after Porsha’s last Bravo exit? Has devolved into one of the messiest splits in Real Housewives of Atlanta history. And as of July 2025, the drama is still going strong. From financial demands to petty insults and courtroom chaos, neither Porsha nor Simon seems ready to let go. Or let anything go quietly. Here’s where things stand now in this Bravo divorce explosion.
RHOA’s Simon Guobadia and Porsha Williams’ rocky divorce continues
It’s been over a year since Porsha filed for divorce from Simon, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Spoiler alert: it has been anything but. Since then, the pair has been locked in a bitter back-and-forth that’s played out both in court and across social media. From cryptic Instagram posts to not-so-subtle shade on the newest season of RHOA, the tension between these two has only escalated. Simon has accused Porsha of cheating, while Porsha has implied that Simon’s lifestyle and his finances weren’t quite what he made them out to be. Their divorce filings have included accusations of infidelity, asset disputes, and even disagreements over the million-dollar Georgia property they once flaunted as their forever home. And just when fans thought it couldn’t get messier, July came with another bombshell.
Simon seeks $500k judgement
In a move that has fans raising their eyebrows, Simon is now seeking a $500,000 judgment from Porsha, claiming “emotional distress” caused by her remarks in interviews and on social media. Us Weekly reported that the 61-year-old told the court he is seeing the lawsuit for lost business opportunities and sponsorships. The Nigerian native will also be seeking unspecified general damages for “harm to his reputation, emotional distress and humiliation.”
Simon is also arguing that he is entitled to punitive damages for Porsha’s alleged “malicious conduct.” Real Housewives of Atlanta fans will recall that Simon sued Porsha in November 2024 over multiple Instagram posts. In the legal documents, Simon claimed that their separation became “contentious” when she started “making negative, false and misleading statements about him on social media, using her outsized platform to negatively influence public perception of him.” Simon’s legal team added, “These posts were intentionally crafted to imply that [Guobadia] suffers from this condition, casting him in a negative and humiliating light. The nature, timing, and context of these posts, amidst the couple’s public separation, led reasonable viewers to infer that [Williams’] statements were referring to [Guobadia] – because they were.” Meanwhile, fans are wondering: Is this about money or just pure ego?
Porsha Williams made fun of Simon’s ED
If things weren’t heated enough, Porsha took the pettiness to Bravo levels when she made a not-so-veiled jab at Simon’s alleged bedroom issues. In 2024, Porsha made a post in honor of men’s health awareness. She offered tips to help men combat erectile dysfunction in her Instagram stories. However, Simon took these posts as a personal dig. Simon is now arguing that the social media posts were “presented in a factual manner” that implied he had ED and “clearly intended to cast” him in a “negative and humiliating light. [Williams’] statements were false; [Guobadia] does not have ED and has never suffered from or been diagnosed with this condition.”
Though she didn’t mention Simon by name, the implication was clear enough for fans and bloggers to connect the dots. Simon’s lawyers added, “By making these claims in a public forum, [Williams] ensured their immediate and widespread dissemination, amplifying the harm to [Guobadia’s] credibility and social esteem.” However, Porsha’s legal team demanded the lawsuit be thrown out. In a statement, they wrote, “None of [Williams’] posts refer to any particular individual, let alone [Guobadia] specifically. [Williams] cannot and should not be held liable for sharing information regarding a common condition that likely plagues many of [Williams’] social media followers. For this reason, and the reasons detailed herein, this Court should dismiss [Guobadia’s] Complaint in its entirety.” Love her or hate her, Porsha is staying unbothered and unfiltered.
Are Porsha and Simon divorced now?
Yes. Porsha and Simon finalized their divorce on June 11, 2025. Porsha opened up to People about the stress she endured. “You go through different stages. And you have that anger. You have the moment where you have to fight for your life in a court situation. And then, toward the end, you have the clarity where you realize you are still blessed. Your family is by our side, your child is protected; there’s a whole new life that you can start,” she shared. Porsha added, “Honestly, I feel like I filed before I was ready to file. I filed out of necessity to protect myself.”
This newest lawsuit from Simon comes directly after a judge in June ruled that the couple’s prenuptial agreement would be enforced. It was obvious from the start that Simon was hoping for another outcome. Now Porsha is set to receive $40,000 per month in alimony for 15 months and the Rolls-Royce he gifted her. She was also able to keep the marital home and has to decide by 2027 if she will stay. While Simon seems intent on dragging this out in court (and the court of public opinion), Porsha is leaning hard into her role as the unbothered ex with a microphone—and a fanbase that’s still riding for her.
