It’s almost time for Bravo fans to gear up for another round of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The diamond-holding reality stars always bring plenty of drama for fans to dissect every year. Ahead of Season 14, Bravo made a few cast changes to the crew. Crystal Kung Minkoff was one RHOBH star who is leaving the show behind.

Crystal made it clear from when she initially announced her departure that it wasn’t her idea or choice. Now that she’s started a new podcast with Cynthia Bailey, the RHOBH alum has decided to delve more into exactly what happened.
RHOBH’s Crystal Kung Minkoff opens up about leaving the show ahead of Season 14
In the latest episode of the Humble Brag with Crystal and Cynthia podcast, Crystal explained that she was fully convinced she was on board for Season 14. She even claimed she had dates in the calendar to start filming.
“We were all in pre-production together. But again I wasn’t, like, 100 percent. Because until you get a contract, you don’t know. And I live in a world of contracts,” Crystal explained.
Then, Crystal said production was having a lengthy conversation with her about what her storyline for RHOBH Season 14 would even look like. According to Crystal, production wanted to “embellish [her] life in a way that felt unnatural.”
At first, she was willing to play the game, but eventually became apprehensive. “It felt like it was stretching the truth for me to make a story that didn’t really make sense,” she added. “And I was like, ‘Okay, I guess I could do that. But then what I get worried … about then it becomes, like, your reality and the audience chimes in.’ And then I was like, ‘Well, then it’s going to start getting, like, really convoluted to where this is now my reality over here. But actually this was the reality. I was willing to go here, I don’t want to go here.’”
While Crystal wasn’t shy about sharing these details, she refused to share the exact ins and outs of her conversation with Bravo production. “I feel very grateful for the show,” she added. Now that’s some tea.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 premieres on November 19 at 9/8c on Bravo.
