RHOBH Star Wants Original Cast Member to Return to the Show

Garcelle Beauvais wants to see Lisa Vanderpump back on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

During a January 30 appearance on “Live With Kelly & Mark,” Beauvais was asked about newcomers Bozoma Saint John and Jennifer Tilly, and she noted that they were “fun” additions to the show.

“It’s been really fun to have them,” she shared. “I think they both fit in really well. Jennifer is a ‘friend of’ so she’s not like a full Housewife, so she goes to things that she wants to go to. But she is so fabulous, and you know amazing. And Boz has asserted herself in like nobody’s business. Oh yeah, she’s in there, telling us all what to do.”

Tilly is a close friend of Sutton Stracke’s, while Saint John instantly bonded with Dorit Kemsley.

Beauvais admitted she wouldn’t mind having an ally on the show herself.  When asked who she would pick if she could bring back one of the former Housewives to the show, she did not hesitate. “Lisa Vanderpump,” she said. “Oh yeah for sure she has some unfinished business. Her and I get along great.”

Beauvais agreed with Ripa’s assessment that she would have an “ally” with Vanderpump. “Exactly,” she said.

Vanderpump was an original cast member of RHOBH for its first nine seasons. Beauvais joined the show in season 10, so the two were never co-stars.

Beauvais even eyed Vanderpump before she met her. In a previous interview with Daily Mail Australia, she said she’d be open to Vanderpump returning to the cast. “I know the fans would love to see Lisa,” Beauvais said in September 2021. “I don’t know her, but I think she’d bring the show some new energy.”

Beauvais and Vanderpump became fast friends after meeting at a charity event in 2021. “She was actually putting on an event for Haiti at TomTom. And so I got to meet her,” Beauvais told The Daily Dish of Vanderpump. “We chatted and sat at the same table and talked. And I was like, ‘Hey, my son [Oliver Saunders] is looking for a job in Vegas,’ not knowing that she even had a place in Vegas. And so it turned out, he worked for her, and we’re good.”

In 2021, Vanderpump was asked about a possible return to RHOBH after exiting the show two years prior. “With this cast? No, it’d be impossible,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “If they kind of cleaned house, then maybe,” she said, adding that she’d be fine working with Beauvais and Stracke only. “I hear Garcelle is very nice, and Sutton, I hear is doing a good job,” Vanderpump said. “It’d be great. Just be Sutton, Garcelle, and me, right?”

Vanderpump exited RHOBH in 2019 amid an ongoing feud with Kyle Richards and others over the cast’s “PuppyGate” drama.

While there have been longstanding rumors about her potential return to the show, Bravo producer Andy Cohen said it probably won’t happen. “I don’t see her coming back to that show,” Cohen said on his Sirius XM radio show “Andy Cohen Live,” in January 2025.

Cohen also noted that Vanderpump isn’t friends with most of the current cast, which also includes Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, and Bozoma Saint John. “I mean she and Dorit and Kyle are, you know [estranged],” he said of Vanderpump. “I guess she’s kind of friends with Garcelle. But I don’t even think she has any desire or they have any desire to interact.”
