Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County recently premiered, and fans were excited to see what the cast had to offer. It also seems like Alexis Bellino was seated in front of her television for the episode, as she has issued a response to Shannon Beador after seeing her comments about John Janssen using her $60,000 settlement to pay for their wedding.
As fans know, Alexis, 48, is set to marry John, 62, this year. The two became engaged in August of 2024. Notably, John and Shannon, 61, dated for about three and a half years. He later sued her for an unpaid loan, which is what the previously mentioned settlement was for.
Shannon opened up in the RHOC season 19 premiere about paying the settlement and leaving John in her past. She said in the episode, “I don’t think about John Janssen at all.” She continued in her confessional, “I did settle the lawsuit because it was important for me to not have any ties to him anymore.”
The most scathing part of her commentary came when she said, “We settled on $60,000. So enjoy that wedding that I paid for.”
This led Alexis to issue a response to US Weekly after hearing what her ex-co-star had to say. According to her, “$60,000 barely cuts one piece of the cake.”
Alexis continued, “So here we go, Shannon. We’ll send you one slice of the cake.” From there, she discussed Shannon mentioning John in the episode. “First of all, obviously I’m still Shannon’s storyline, and I’m glad I could help her out with that,” Alexis quipped.
The bride-to-be went on, “But here’s the other part to that. Let me just set the record straight. It was $75,000 she owed my soon-to-be husband. We then gave her a discount of $15,000, so you’re welcome, Shannon, but also keep his name out of your mouth. She can’t keep his name out of her mouth, but [he’ll be] my husband, not hers, so it’s time for her to move on.”
She also spoke about her upcoming wedding, saying, “We’re moments away. I don’t want to say months or weeks or days, because I don’t want anyone to really know the wedding date, and I know there’s a lot of speculation that it’s August, but you’ll have to wait and see.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursday nights on Bravo.
