Jim Bellino is speaking out against John Janssen amid his $75,000 lawsuit against Shannon Beador.
Years after Jim filed a $1 million defamation lawsuit against Shannon, 60, and Tamra Judge, 57, the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Alexis Bellino, 47, who is engaged to John, 62, appeared on a podcast, where he shared a “disturbing” aspect of John’s case and explained why he didn’t agree with his recent behavior.
“What I found disturbing for me, personally, and I don’t know if John’s been through a lawsuit before, but if somebody offers you the amount of money that you’re asking for and all they want is for a non-disparagement and you don’t agree with that, I think that’s pretty short-sighted on John’s part,” Jim revealed on the October 15 episode of The Sarah Fraser Show, via The Bravo Investigator on Instagram.
As RHOC fans will recall, Shannon told Entertainment Tonight in August that John was refusing to settle his case against her, which he claims is for repayment of a facelift.
“I offered him the full amount because I know legal fees will surpass [$75K],” Shannon shared. “He said, no, because he refused to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement, which is industry standard in any settlement case. So, is it about money? Because if it was, you would have taken the money that you allege that I took from you.”
Shannon then accused her ex-boyfriend of “extortion,” claiming he was trying to make her look bad after gifting her the money for the surgery.
As for John, he said during an episode of RHOC earlier this month that there is proof that Shannon knew the $75,000 was a loan and accused her of having “an interesting relationship with the truth.”
Continuing on about the legal drama on the podcast, Jim added, “I don’t agree with [John] not settling that case, and believe me, I am not a Shannon fan. I think everybody knows that.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
