RHOC Star Announces Exit From Show Mid-Filming, Fans Offer Support

Tamra Judge appears to have quit “The Real Housewives of Orange County” during filming for season 19. On March 9, the longtime Bravo star shared a cryptic post to her Instagram stories to hint that she exited the show, and many fans offered support.

“It was a long run! When life gives you real problems this reality [expletive] doesn’t make sense. Peace out ✌️ Im out,” Judge wrote on her story.

Soon after, fan account @atasteofreality reshared the post with the question, “Tamra Judge just posted this….Is Tamra quitting??”

Judge herself replied to the post with, “Yes!!!”

Judge first joined RHOC in season 3  and was a main cast member for 12 seasons. She briefly left the show in 2020 but returned for season 17 in 2023 and remained on the cast until the filming of season 19.

The 19^th season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” also features Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti, Katie Ginella and the returning Gretchen Rossi. Rossi’s return to the show comes amid a 12-year absence, per BravoTV.com.

Tamra Judge Was Filming a Cast Trip in Louisiana When She Made the Post

Judge did not share further details on what prompted her rogue post. According to a People magazine source, Judge made the post while in New Orleans filming an RHOC cast trip. She did not share if the reality TV drama she referred to had anything to do with the return of Rossi, her former friend with whom she’s been on the outs for years.

Judge did not respond to fans who asked her what was going on. On social media, some commenters noted that Judge is under a lot of stress amid her close friend and podcast co-host Teddi Mellencamp’s recent emergency brain surgery.  On the duo’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast on February 19, Judge broke down as she addressed Mellencamp’s health situation.

“I imagine that witnessing what’s real with Teddi puts petty in perspective…clarifies what we want to expend our energy on when we have the choice,” one fan wrote on Instagram.

“Could be … she doesn’t have the energy to do the absolute most for screen time. I mean, I wouldn’t give af about the show when real-life tragedy gets involved,” another wrote on Reddit.

“I support this decision, hope she finds peace and love,” another fan wrote of Judge’s claim that she quit the show.

Tamra Judge’s Exit Post Came After She Was Spotted With Her Co-Stars at a Restaurant in New Orleans

According to Variety, production for RHOC season 19 began in late January.

In March 2025, the RHOC women, including Judge and Rossi, were spotted filming at the New Orleans Dog Parade.

Judge’s cryptic post came not long after she was seen filming with her RHOC co-stars at a restaurant in Louisiana. On March 9, fan site @bravoandcocktails posted footage of Judge and the other RHOC women entering the Palace Café in New Orleans. It is unclear whether some sort of blowup took place during the dinner or if Judge made the decision to leave on her own as she focused on her real-life issues.

Bravo has not yet confirmed that Judge quit “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
