Emily Simpson Says Her Son Is “In Crisis” After Rare Medical Diagnosis as She Opens Up About Marriage Strain in RHOC Season 19 Trailer

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 premiere is just days away. The trailer for the upcoming season promises tons of fun, trips, and drama. However, it also shows that one of Emily Simpson‘s sons is dealing with a severe health issue that’s impacting her marriage to Shane

Emily and Shane have twin sons, Luke and Keller, as well as a daughter, Annabelle. Emily and Shane tied the knot in 2009. She joined RHOC during its 13th season.

One of the more emotional parts of the RHOC season 19 trailer occurs when Emily discusses her son’s health issues. While in a car, she says to Shane, “Luke, he’s sad, and it breaks my heart.” Then, in a confessional, she states, “I have a son that’s in crisis, and I feel alone in that.”

The clip from the trailer doesn’t go into detail about what’s going on with Luke; however, viewers can tell that it’s severe. This is so much the case that Emily says, “We’re gonna end up divorced.” This is despite Shane and Emily seemingly having a happy marriage.

It’s also worth noting that Emily’s Bravo bio for the season states that she “takes on one of the biggest challenges of her life when one of her sons is diagnosed with a rare medical condition.”

This comes after Emily made a playful post about her love for Shane in March. She said at the time, “Three reasons I’d never leave my husband: 1. I’d be doing him a favor; and I don’t do favors. 2. He’d have a lot more money without me so I need to keep him motivated. 3. His life would be too peaceful and calm. Living with me teaches him how to handle chaos and insanity.”

RHOC season 19 begins on Bravo on July 10.
