Lisa Hochstein and her ex-husband, Lenny Hochstein, have settled the $50,000 defamation lawsuit he brought against her in November 2023 following claims of abuse.
A year and a half after the 42-year-old Real Housewives of Miami star insinuated that the 58-year-old plastic surgeon had left her bruised amid their messy split, and after Lenny made his own abuse allegations against Lisa, a notice of settlement was filed and a statement was released.
“We acknowledge that the end of our marriage was a painful and highly public experience. Images posted on social media at the time led to speculation and insinuations by the media that do not reflect what occurred,” Lenny and Lisa said in a joint statement to the Daily Mail on April 8. “We can jointly confirm that there was never any physical harm caused by Dr. Leonard Hochstein or Lisa Hochstein, and the media’s insinuations from any photos or posts are not true. We are both excited to close this chapter, and move on and be great co-parents for our kids.”
In the notice of settlement filed on April 2 and obtained by Daily Mail, Lenny not only agreed to drop his request for damages, but also to dismiss the case with prejudice, meaning he will be unable to re-file it in the future.
Additionally, he and Lisa “amicably” agreed to cover their own legal fees.
In his own statement, Lenny again denied using violence against Lisa.
“During our divorce Lisa falsely accused me of many heinous actions. None worse than the idea that I physically abused her,” he stated. “I have never hit a woman in my life, certainly not Lisa. This accusation hurt me more than all the others put together. I oppose all forms of violence, especially against women. I am glad that she chose to set the record straight.”
In November 2023, Lisa posted an image on her Instagram Story in which she was seen with a circle drawn around an apparent bruise.
“Didn’t want to have to share this. But I’m left with no choice,” Lisa wrote in a caption. “I’m being threatened and harassed through the court system and through ‘others’ by Lenny and it needs to stop.”
The dark mark was also featured on the fifth season of RHOM, confirming the timeline of when she sustained it — but not who was responsible.
Following the sharing of Lisa’s post, Lenny denied he had physically harmed Lisa, saying that she was injured during a fall on their staircase, and accusing her of cheating on him with her current boyfriend, Jody Glidden, 52.
However, after being labeled as the “real ‘homewrecker’ of Miami,” Lisa insisted she and Jody began dating in February 2023, nearly a year after Lenny filed for divorce.
As RHOM fans well know, Lenny debuted his romance with Katharina Nahlik, 29, prior to filing for divorce in May 2022 and got engaged to her in July 2023. Then, after splitting in September of the following year, Lenny and Katharina got re-engaged in December.
Lenny and Lisa finalized their divorce in November 2024, with Lenny agreeing to pay $15,000 per month in child support for their kids, Logan, 9, and daughter Elle, 5.
