RHONJ Alum Kathy Wakile Details Melissa Gorga Sit Down; Melissa Responds

Kathy Wakile and Melissa Gorga were as thick as thieves on their first few seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey. But along the way, their wires got crossed, and the cousins-in-law had a massive falling out. Fans have always wondered about a reconciliation, but after a recent meeting, it doesn’t look too good. 

Kathy Wakile says lunch with RHONJ’s Melissa Gorga didn’t go as Melissa “would’ve liked it to go”

Earlier this week, Kathy chatted with Sirius XM’s Paige Six show regarding her issues with Melissa. Fans will recall in June 2024, Kathy revealed she had bought a plot on the same street as the Gorgas. Now she is sharing that she had already met up with Melissa and Joe Gorga before the Jeff Lewis show. She also added that she sits on a local charity board and hosted an event that the Gorgas attended.

“I didn’t see them, but they saw me and didn’t say hello. The next day, Melissa texts me, which was very nice. She reached out. And said how sad it was that we were at the same event, and we walked by each other, and we didn’t say hello. And I hadn’t seen him, so I said, ‘Shame on [Joe] if he saw me that he didn’t come up to me.'”

The pastry chef claimed that Melissa questioned if the feud could be worked out. “She said, ‘I think that there’s things we should talk about. Would you be open? I don’t know what we ever did.'” Kathy replied, “I think we both know what you did. And if you want to talk, sure, let’s talk. So we met for lunch and [then] she went on Jeff Lewis and acted like, ‘Oh, that’s a good idea, Jeff,’ when we had already had our lunch.” 

Kathy revealed the lunch was “fine. We cleared the air. I don’t think it went as [Melissa] would have liked it to go, not that there was anything harsh or anything like that said. I just pretty much put everything on the line and told her and reminded her of the things that went down.”

Melissa has since responded, claiming Kathy asked her not to go public with the details of their meeting. She says she was simply respecting Kathy’s wishes. Doesn’t seem like there will be any amends made here…
