RHONJ Star Makes Major Career Announcement: ‘Time For Me to Step Away’

Melissa Gorga gave fans a major update on her career. The veteran “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star is stepping down from her podcast after PodcastOne podcast, “On Display,” after nearly four years, she announced on Instagram on July 10.

“I have some news to share with you guys,” Gorga told fans in a video message. “It’s a good thing but… it’s a little crazy. But after much reflection, I have decided that it’s time for me to step away from the podcast.”

The mom of three explained that her other business commitments, most notably her sprinkle cookie company, are demanding her “full attention.”

“I’ve recently embarked on an exciting new venture with @letssprinklebymg and it’s demanding my full attention, amongst other things that are coming:),” she added in a caption to the post. “Balancing both has become a challenge & let’s not forget about 2 locations of @envybymg & online store:) 3 kids and a Joe! and I believe that focusing on this new path will allow me to grow and innovate in ways I’ve always dreamed of.”

Gorga thanked fans for their support and noted that she hopes to make a return behind the mic again “someday.”

The Bravo TV star launched her “On Display” podcast in December 2021 and named it after her first pop single.

Melissa Gorga Launched Her Cookie Business in Late 2024

In December 2024, Gorga announced the launch of her sprinkle cookie business, Let’s Sprinkle by MG. The sprinkle cookies are a nod to her estranged sister-in-law Teresa Giudice’s memorable RHONJ scene in which she complained that Gorga brought store-bought sprinkle cookies to the family’s Christmas dinner.

In April, Gorga announced the addition of coffee cake to her Sprinkles by MG menu. The tasty treats have been a huge hit with fans and sometimes sell out due to high demand.

Gorga’s status on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” remains unknown. The show has been on a long hiatus ahead of season 15 with rumors of a cast shakeup continuing to make headlines.

There is a hint that Gorga could be returning to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Per Bravo’s The Daily Dish, she is one of only three RHONJ veterans scheduled to appear at BravoCon in Las Vegas this fall. Gorga will be joined by her longtime castmates Margaret Josephs and Dolores Catania at the Bravo fan fest hosted by Andy Cohen.
