Gia Giudice revealed why she stopped pursuing law school, and denied that she’s “lazy.” The daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice also shared where she stands with boyfriend Christian, and if she plans on moving out of her mom’s place.

In the past, Gia was open about her dream of being an immigration lawyer as she studied criminal justice in college. In 2019, her Italian father, Joe Giudice, was forced to leave the country after being in prison for financial fraud. Though he came to the U.S. as a child, he never obtained citizenship.

Recently, Gia, 24, hinted that she was taking a break from studying the LSAT.

On the premiere episode of her “Casual Chaos” podcast, Gia addressed why she’s pausing her dream to be an attorney. According to the star, she started getting active on social media while she was studying criminal justice.

Her involvement on social media, however, began to “deter [her] focus” on becoming a lawyer, though she still loves “the law.” Gia claimed she’d have to “give up” social media and the “money” that comes with it in order to pursue a legal career.

She suggested that certain fans are “disappointed” in her for not being a lawyer, but the “chapter is not closed,” as she can “always” go back to law school. She’s choosing to “capitalize” on the “opportunities” she now has outside of law school.

The star denied that she’s simply being “lazy,” but admitted that the LSAT is “hard.”

“I actually was driving myself insane,” she said. “I was studying for a year and a half, spent over 5,000 on tutors, like I don’t want you guys to think I didn’t try, because I did.”

But Gia had social media deals, opportunities, and “job offers” coming in at the time.

“My tutor literally looked at me one day and said to me, ‘If you are not 100 percent invested in this and 100 percent in the game, you cannot become a lawyer,'” she recalled, “because going to law school, studying for your LSATs is a full-time job.”

But she was trying to “juggle social media” at the same time, which was “just too much.”

“So that’s why I put my law career on hold,” she said. “It was either ‘let’s make some money and have a really good time’ or spend four more years in school and be in debt.”

She also denied rumors that she’s engaged and/or pregnant, though she still has an “amazing boyfriend.” Gia hinted that she’ll “have him on the podcast” soon, and they’ll share their relationship advice.

The star said she doesn’t have an “urgency to move out” of her mom Teresa’s house, and she knows people who “stay home until they get married.” The only reason she would want to leave is to “move in with Christian.”

Though she and Christian will one day be ready to live together, Gia gets “amazing meals” at her mom’s house, and she loves being home with her family. She also said that Teresa doesn’t want her to go. Despite this, she and Christian look at potential houses and apartments “all the time.”
