Jacqueline Laurita revealed what Melissa Gorga allegedly told her when cameras were down, and she hinted at the real reason her friendship with Teresa Giudice ended in a past season of Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Though Jacqueline and Teresa recently reconciled, the longtime friends had a bitter falling out shortly after Teresa’s sister-in-law Melissa joined the show. The feud seemed bizarre to many fans, given how strong of a connection they seemed to have.
“I remember Melissa got so jealous,” said Jacqueline of her relationship with Teresa on the Get Real with Kim D podcast. “[Behind the scenes] she was like, ‘Remember, Jacqueline, [Teresa] hates your guts. She hates you.'”
“And I’m like, ‘I know, but if she’s nice to my face … I’ll take it, you know, because I’d rather film as her friend [than] have her hating on me. If she’s faking it, whatever, she’s nice.'”
Jacqueline said Teresa was nice to her even when “cameras were down,” and they were “laughing [our] a**es off all night for like three or four hours after filming.”
“So I’m like, [Teresa and I are] fine, we’re good,” she continued. “And that’s why something changed in Vermont. Melissa must have got in her ear. And then I saw on camera, when I watched the show, she was in Teresa’s ear, saying like, ‘What’s going on with Jacqueline?’ She was planting these seeds when it wasn’t even actuality.”
Jacqueline suggested this was why her friendship with Teresa really ended.
“[Melissa] was the one jealous that I was … [trying to get close to Teresa again],” Jacqueline added. “She didn’t like that. And she even said that when we were in Vermont … She came in and she’s like, ‘Oh, well that’s interesting [that] you and Jacqueline can be friends when I try so hard’ … She said something to that effect on camera.”
Jacqueline explained, “And then she was trying to flip it – like I was jealous that [Melissa and Teresa] were friendly – when I was the one pushing for them to be friends the entire time.”
