Last month, Bethenny called attention to reports of Teresa and husband Luis Ruelas’ tax debts. Gia stood up for her mom, suggesting that Bethenny was profiting off the report. Bethenny then clapped back, shading Gia as “ill-advised” and “not educated.” Many fans were offended by Bethenny’s choice to speak in such a way about the child of her former colleague.
On the Get Real with Kim D podcast, Jenn defended Gia for defending her mom.
“I would hope that my daughter would do the same,” said Jenn. “And I’m pretty sure that she would.” Kim D. agreed, and she shared that her own son would also “stick up for me.”
Jenn shared that if someone talked about her children, she wouldn’t stay silent. “Say something about my kids, and you have to die,” she said. “You have to die a slow, painful [death].”
At one point, Jenn accused Bethenny of “narcissism.”
“I can’t watch it,” said Jenn. “It just turns my stomach.”
Kim added, “It’s really scary to me because I just can’t believe how evil it’s getting.”
According to Jenn, her cousin Jeff said she reminded him of Bethenny when Jenn first joined the show.
“And I was like, ‘Jeff … I know the reason you think this is [because] she’s funny,'” recalled Jenn, “‘but I use my power — I try to use my power — for good. She uses her power for evil.”
In an April 3 Instagram post, Bethenny responded to Gia defending her mom.
“If [Luis and Teresa] have tax issues, and they’re not paying them, and she didn’t sign a prenup, it’s not about her. I’m talking to [my followers] … it doesn’t matter if you’re poor, rich, who has what … you sign a prenup because it makes things much easier later,” said Bethenny, who later claimed that Gia is “ill-advised and not educated on this topic.”
In more Bethenny news, she is now slamming a fake quote that went viral in which she supposedly slammed Gia and offered to mentor her about finances. The RHONY alum took to TikTok to deny ever making the quote, and she attributed it to likely being from AI.
“It sounds like someone asked AI how I would respond to something, and that is what it said. And it’s actually a well-written quote cause AI wrote it. I just can’t claim it. It’s not a read I can claim. I just didn’t say it,” shared Bethenny.
