The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Jennifer and Bill Aydin can’t believe all the chatter surrounding their marriage.
“[The divorce rumors] didn’t bring us closer together because we’re already close,” Jennifer, 48, exclusively shared with Us Weekly at Ticket2Event’s 12th Annual Luxury Luncheon hosted by Jill Zarin, Brian Kelly and Sean Koski on Saturday, July 26. “We are both committed to the commitment. We are very old school and traditional in our values. It works for us. We both believe in this.”
While Bill, 52, said he tries not to pay any attention to what the internet is saying, he questioned why his marriage is the topic of discussion.
“I don’t keep up on the social medias, but when I see it, I laugh it off,” he shared at The Southampton Inn. “I guess after the Obamas, ours was the second most publicized one.”
Jennifer added, “It’s so silly. It’s so abundantly silly.”
In recent months, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have faced rumors about the status of their marriage.
During a June episode of NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast, the former First Lady, 61, poked fun at the chatter, saying, “The fact that people don’t see me going on a date with my husband sparks rumors of the end of our marriage. It’s the apocalypse.”
While Jennifer said she can’t speak to Barack, 63, and Michelle’s love story, she does know that next month will mark 23 years married to Bill.
“I don’t know anything about [the Obama’s], but I’m just saying it’s silly, and at the end of the day, it’s a free country, and there’s freedom of speech, and people could print and write whatever they want, and if it gains momentum, all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Oh, I heard they were getting a divorce,’” she explained. “Ask ChatGPT.”
These days, Jennifer and Bill are enjoying quality time together, including an appearance at Jill’s charity event, which raises funds for cancer research in honor of her late husband, Bobby Zarin.
Jennifer said she has no updates on the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey after season 14 divided the cast in 2024.
If cameras were to pick up again, the Bravo star is confident fans will be entertained with what’s going on in the Aydin household.
“Our life is very fulfilled and busy,” she said. “There are no cameras, but sometimes I’m thinking, ‘Oh my God, if there were, this would be TV gold.’ It doesn’t matter if the cameras are there or not. Our life is continuously moving. Let’s just say that.”
