Real Housewives of New Jersey” friend of Kim DePaola has spilled some major tea about the future of the show.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, DePaola said that Bravo “technically let go” the full cast, but kept in touch with three women.
“The women were all officially released from their contracts due to it having been six months since they wrapped any filming related to RHONJ. Due to this, they are technically let go,” DePaola told the outlet.
“What I can tell you, though is that three of the women were given letters by the network to keep them engaged/as a token of good faith to show they’re still interested in working with them. This isn’t necessarily for RHONJ, but they will be working with three of the women in some capacity going forward,” she added.
Bravo and executive producer Andy Cohen maintain that no decisions have been made about the future of the franchise.
An ‘Insider’ Claims Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga & Dolores Catania Were Retained by Bravo
In another article published by OK!, an insider claimed something nearly identical to what DePaola was quoted as saying. The unnamed source confirmed that the network gave “letters” to Teresa Giudice, Dolores Catania, and Melissa Gorga as a “token of good faith.”
The insider also claimed that Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda have all parted ways with the network and will not be retained for any future projects.
Meanwhile, DePaola confirmed that RHONJ won’t be back in 2025.
“Bravo and Andy Cohen have repeatedly said, nothing will be decided in terms of RHONJ until 2026. All of their shows for this year are mapped out and RHONJ is not factored into that,” she told the outlet.
Jennifer Aydin Is Reportedly Not Returning to Bravo
Long time RHONJ star Jennifer Aydin is also unlikely to return to the franchise. Although nothing has been set in stone, there have been rumors that she wasn’t one of the women retained by Bravo. Part of that may be due to the Jersey Mike’s drama.
At the start of the year, Aydin posted a video of a visit to the popular sandwich chain to her Instagram Stories.
“When it came time to take our order, they took our order. And then they took the lady’s order that was after me, but they fulfilled her order first somehow. Made us wait. Okay, whatever,” Aydin said in the clip.
“And the 80-year-old that was working there, the amount of times that she took to cut that bread was almost as much as we were waiting [in] that line, jeez. Oh my God. Everything was slow. We’re not complaining, we get it. It’s early in the morning. You’re in a bad mood. It’s New Year’s, you’re working. I’d be pissed, too,” she added.
The incident was widely criticized, as evidenced by this Reddit thread.
