During Season 14 of Real Housewives of New Jersey, fans saw the demise of multiple friendships. But none seemed more shocking than Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs. For seasons, the two women were as thick as thieves, thanks to their shared hatred for Teresa Giudice. Both had been hurt at the hands of the OG. Tre has spread a vicious lie about Evan Goldschneider cheating. And she had orchestrated the ponytail pull on Margaret. So, when the duo decided to part ways, fans knew nothing good was going to come of it.
Margaret Josephs opens up about her falling out with Jackie Goldschneider
The blonde in pigtails couldn’t help herself as she shaded Jackie for her “desperate” relationship with Tre. While on the Taste for Taylor podcast, Marge opened up about the loss of her friendship. Marge divulged that she and Jackie “used to, because she’s smart, would look at [Luis Ruelas]’ stock price falling every day on his company. She would send me a screenshot, and then I would send her a screenshot.” Marge cackled as she added, “At one point, it was like 47 cents, and then it was kicked off the stock exchange. And she would laugh. She goes, ‘Look at this sh*t.’” The MacBeth Collection owner didn’t hold back any of their old secrets as she added, “We’re petty b*tches when it comes to stuff like that, and we don’t care because it was about Teresa … Because she did horrible stuff to Jackie.”
Viewers will recall Teresa made Jackie’s life a living hell after it was revealed she was the culprit that spread the cheating rumor about Evan. At the time, Teresa took it upon herself to bring up the gossip at Evan’s birthday party. Instead of taking Jackie aside in private, Tre openly talked about the gossip with all their mutual friends, leaving Jackie to be blindsided in a later episode.
Margaret Josephs doesn’t think Jackie even likes Tre
As the podcast conversation went on, Marge added, “We were like, ‘That’s what you f*cking get.’ And that was just us. We didn’t put it out publicly.” But Marge has some pretty good theories about what drove Jackie to the arms of Teresa. According to the blonde, she doesn’t think Jackie cares about the OG. Marge drove the point home, saying, “She wants to be famous. She is only driven by fame and attention and relevancy, and it’s sad because she only feels relevant when people recognize her, they’re paying attention to her, and things like that.”
“I’ve told her numerous times, ‘You are more than this. You are a beautiful writer. You have a beautiful family.’ She compromised her integrity, and she just went along with it,” Margaret added. Marge doubled down, saying there’s “no possible way” Jackie really enjoys Teresa. Fans tend to agree since even their air kisses on Season 14 seemed forced. Marge shared, “The things she’s said about her are so heinous, things that I would never say. The things she’s said about Jennifer Aydin are pretty atrocious, and again, things that I would never want to do to her or say.”
Margaret Josephs isn’t pulling punches
Even though fans didn’t get a Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, I knew Marge would tell all. The author went on to share, “And I understand why she felt that way, by the way. I am not discounting the horrible things that have been done to Jackie. So there’s no way you’re going to flip that switch unless it’s for relevancy.” Like most of the women, Marge noted, “It was just for TV. It’s giving desperation.” Marge made some valid points by adding, “It’s not your real friends. Those are not people you’d ever align yourself with, mentally, emotionally, or anything like that, values-wise, and so when she did something like that, I was so disgusted because I was like, ‘Who are you?’”
It’s obvious that at one point, Marge really “cared for” Jackie, or there wouldn’t be such hard feelings. Margaret lamented, “There’s a lot of things between us that would never come out on the show because I cared for her and I cared for her family that I would never, ever discuss.” In typical Marge fashion, she left fans with a “To be continued” moment as she signed off, saying, “There are things between us, both of us, that would never come out. That’s petty bullsh*t, a text message about Dolores Catania who she’s not even close with, means nothing … It’s not like I sent something to Melissa Gorga. It’s ridiculous.”
