RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice Hit With $300K Tax Lien

Well, Teresa Giudice had better cross her fingers that she is asked back to The Real Housewives of New Jersey. While the RHONJ cast is waiting for word about who, if any, of the ladies will return, Teresa is having more money problems. And I’m not sure a Real Housewives paycheck will be enough to bail her out this time.

According to njcourts.gov, Teresa has a tax lien for $303,889.20. Yikes! Teresa previously paid $480,291.20 off another tax debt totaling $1,096,012.14. So, as of October 2023, she still owed $615,720.94 for that tax debt.

Meanwhile, Teresa’s husband, Luis Ruelas, was recently hit with a tax lien of his own, to the tune of over $2.5 million. As you may, recall, Luis took out a $1 million loan on the home that he and Teresa share. However, the court documents list Luis as the “sole member” of the LLC that bought the mansion. I’d file that under things that make you go “Hmm…”

During Season 14 of RHONJ, there were rumors that Luis was having financial problems, but we didn’t learn any details from the show. However, it came to light that the company Luis reportedly co-founded filed for bankruptcy.

Many RHONJ fans thought that Teresa was moving into a bright future when she wed Luis, but it seems that financial issues have plagued them ever since they tied the knot. Still, Teresa is hopeful that she will once again be the OG of New Jersey.

“Of course, I’m going to go back,” she previously stated. “Oh my gosh I started it, so I feel like like, you know, there’s still a lot in me. So yeah, definitely I would go back.”

Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock.
