You really can’t have a conversation about the Real Housewives of New York icons without including Alex McCord. One of the OG cast members, the fan-favorite was on the show for four seasons before she was let go. And to say the very least, the departure was less than amicable. She did attempt to make a dramatic comeback in Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 4. However, fans know the legal reason as to why that footage is at a standstill. In the meantime, Alex has continued to showcase her life on social media.
The former RHONY star shares everything on Instagram, from happy moments with her husband Simon van Kempen and their two sons … to even her real name.
Real Housewives of New York OG Alex McCord has a different first name
Alex recently took to IG to share one of the projects within her PhD studies. The copy of the published work she’s holding refers to her as Alex McCord, but the research link calls her something different.
“My name is Sara McCord and I am conducting this research as part of my PhD in the School of Psychology at the University of New England,” the study reads.
The only other time she’s let it show what her real name was a few years before her PhD studies when she obtained her Master’s.
Alex showed off her degree on Instagram in 2020, which read that the recipient’s name is Sara Alexandra McCord.
Assuming she gets her stage name Alex from her middle name, she’s never revealed why she doesn’t go by Sara. As for now, she’s Sara in her academic career and Alex in the Bravo world.
The Real Housewives of New York is available to stream on Peacock.
