RHONY Cast Teases New Season Filled With 'Fashion' and 'Fierceness'

Get ready for another round of The Real Housewives of New York. As Bravo announced last month, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, Erin Lichy, Ubah Hassan, Sai De Silva and yes, even Jenna Lyons are all back for another round of Bravo's freshly rebooted RHONY. Parade got a chance to catch up with some of the ladies at the official New York City premiere, where they spilled on all things Season 15, what sets the new season apart and what fans can expect to see when the show returns next month.

"Even though we had done a season before, you just can't predict or anticipate what's going to happen," Taank teased. Fans may remember that she became the breakout star last season, delivering quotes that have already cemented themselves in the Real Housewives lexicon like calling Tribeca an "up and coming" neighborhood or saying that her weekend "starts on Friday!"

Still, Taank has learned that "no matter how much you think you are in control, you are not" She also gave us a tease of what themes we can expect for the new season. "Shocking, funny and everyone was really vulnerable," she said. "A lot of vulnerability for sure."

Hassan promises an "'Ubah Hot' hot" Season 15 for fans to sink their teeth into, noting that unexpected moments "came her way" this year.

We also got a chance to meet the new additions, Rebecca Minkoff and Racquel Chevremont. Minkoff, who joins as a friend of this year, revealed that she left filming with a "real respect" for her castmates after shooting a "rollercoaster" of a season.

"There is so much work that goes into this, and it's not just like I show up and my life is filmed," she explained. "We would be done with filming and I would be shaking, and everyone was like, 'Have a good night everybody, see you tomorrow!'"

Chevremont, who joins as a full time "apple-holder" this year, shared that the biggest surprise for her was how "real" her castmates are. "I was expecting a little more maybe drama around my being added to the show," she teased.

"I was the new girl and who likes the new girl?!" An openly queer castmate, she also recognizes the importance of having an opportunity to show a queer family on television.

"We're going through the same shit everyone else is going through," she gushed. "We love, we laugh, we live, and I'm just excited about that, and hopefully maybe surprising some folks and making people more accepting perhaps."

As for some things to look out for, Chevremont teases "fashion" and "fierceness," two attributes we've certainly come to expect from this flashy new iteration of RHONY.

The Real Housewives of New York returns Oct. 1, 2024 on Bravo, with episodes streaming next day on Peacock.
